5. History of Coca-Cola
The first company that conducted its
operation in the soft drink industry was Coca-
Cola. They brought a new revolution in the
history of the world. Coca-Cola was
established in May 1886 when a pharmacist
Dr. John Styth PEMBERTON first produced
syrup in a three-legged brass pot in Atlanta,
Georgia backyard.
6. Coca-Cola first bottled in
1894. Large scale bottling was
only possible in 1899. They
marketed and distributed the
product in specific territories.
7. Coca-Cola Company in
Bangladesh
Even before our independence of
Bangladesh the Coca-Cola Company has
started its operation in Bangladesh.
Coca-Cola started its operation under a
franchise agreement. In Bangladesh
there are two franchisees conducting
operation on behalf of Coca-Cola
Company. One is Tabani Beverages
Company Ltd and the other Abul Monem
Ltd.
8. Strategic Goals
Short term
To create Quality, Service, Cleanliness
and Value in their current product”
Long term
To acquire the position as a market leader
of the beverage industry in Bangladesh
by producing & serving high-quality and
high value-added soft drink.
9. Brand Name of Coca-
Cola
Coca-Cola Has become one of the most
popular and widely known Brand
product in the world It has high brand
equity, and because of its high brand
loyalty, name awareness, Perceived
quality, strong brand association and
other assets such as patent trademark
and channel relationship. The Coca-Cola
brand is value at $ 70 billion.
10. TRACK COUSTUMER DEMAND
of Coca-Cola
Price of relative goods: Demand for coca
cola is also influenced by the change in
price of relative goods.
RELATIVE
GOODS
RELATIVE

SUBSTITUTESUBSTITUTE COMPLIMENTARYCOMPLIMENTARY
11. In case of coca cola there are number
of subsititute goods available in the
market, we have Pepsi,Miranda,
Limca,Spirit etc. Now if the price of
coca cola increases from Rs12 to Rs
20 whereas the price of other aerated
drinks remain the same then the
demand for coca cola will fall down.
12. Why do people drink Coke?
• The bottom line for the
people surveyed was
they liked the taste.
Peer pressure did not
seem to have a
significant influence on
the decision of what
soda to drink. People
also felt strongly about
they decision to drink
Coke Versus Pepsi.
There really does
appear to be a cola war.
13. Design of the Spectacles:Different
kinds of design of the spectacles
can attract and gather more
consumers of spectacles. Some
people like to wear thin frame
and glasses or some people like to
wear silver frame, some people
like plastic frame etc.
14. INCOME OF THE CONSUMER
There is a direct relationship between
income of consumer and demand. Now
coca cola being a normal good, if
there’s an increase in income, the
demand will increase and vice versa.
15. TIME
Time is an important factor
that affects the demand of
coca cola.The demand for
coca cola goes up during
festive seasons and during
summers
16. AGE GROUP OF THE
POPULATION
This product is meant for the
children, adults and also for the old
people so the age groups are not
much affected the demand of the
product so demand remain same and
by the increase in the population, the
demand of the product also increases.
17. Advertising
• Coke was first
advertised as a remedy
for headaches and
exhaustion
• Coke has been
advertising on television
for 50 years.
• Songs used in coca
cola commercials have
become popular.
• They use catchy mottos
such as:
“Adds a refreshing
relish to every form of
exercise”
18. Design Direction of coca-Cola
The Old Simplicity Gone
While there are few companies with a richer
design heritage than Coca-Cola, in recent
years the company seemed to have lost its
design savvy. The iconic Coke "contour"
bottle, adorned with the globally recognized
script and the simple ribbon graphic, for
instance, had given way to a plastic bottle or
aluminum can on which the logo had to
compete against random bubble graphics,
extraneous marketing messages, or seasonal
images.
19. Coke's New Design Direction
"It wasn't necessarily easy to find a
place for our ideas," says
Viemeister, adding: "In big
corporations there are lots of ideas
—and you can't do all of them."
20. For Butler, the lesson was to avoid cool
concepts that would never see the light
of day. Instead of generating ideas and
then trying to find a place for them,
Butler addressed his efforts on
identifying basic problems that design
can solve. His strategy has focused on
three areas critical to Coca-Cola—
brand identity, user experience, and
sustainability.
21. A Witty Update
Butler and his team have also begun a review
of the 450 brands in the company's portfolio,
focusing first on megabrands such as Coke.
The plum redesign commission went to the San
Francisco office of the branding and packaging
firm Turner Duckworth, which had previously
worked on Coke Zero and Tab Energy, a
relaunch of the old diet drink. "Coke is the
iconic brand, the ideal design project," says
principal David Turner.
