Preparing for an interview in Dubai or an interview in gulf countries? This article is for you.
Every time you attend an interview, there are few things an interviewer wish they could tell
you but never gets the chance to say so! Here are few things the interviewers really want to
convey to you. Next time, you go for an interview, keep in mind the below points, they would
greatly help you to position yourself in a way the interviewer likes you!
1) Be pleasing and likeable
Every interviewer wants their next hire to have a pleasing personality. The candidate
needs to develop some sort of ‘likenesses from the interviewer. Smile, be social, be
warm, show corporate manners, be positive, sell your candidature professionally – these
are some things which would help you develop likeness of the interviewer.
2) I want you to have content
Beyond everything else, an interviewer expects you to have good knowledge about your
respective industry and subject. Make sure you are well educated on the subject and on
the position you are being interviewed for.
3) Make yourself unique and impress me
An interviewer interviews quite a few candidates for the same position you are being
interviewed for. Try to make yourself unique and have a unique selling point. Just as
they want you to tell them why should they hire you, you need to tell them why you
like this job and why you would be a good fit.
4) Ask me questions – sensible ones
Interviewers expect you to ask questions. The reason being, by asking questions, they
would be able to judge your reasoning skills, your interest in the position and how
constructively you look at things. Give them a feeling you are an innovator and creative
thinker. If you could distinguish yourself by your way of creative thinking, you stand a
higher chance to get hired for that position.
