34. Ad Activity: What does this ad do well? Marketing to a College Student
Need the Experience College students know that they need some sort of experience behind them to attain any sort of job in the future, and now-a-days, to get an internship. Volunteer work and community service is a lot of times the best way for them to do that. When trying to market to college students, it is not bad to say to them that the volunteer opportunity will provide them with real-world work experience that they can take with them in the future. Resume Going along with the need for experience, volunteer work also goes well on a resume. It suggests that the person is a team player and does things for a cause, and not for personal gain, even though that may be why they are doing it. Willing to work for FREE Many college students do not earn a great salary, so the prospect of them working for free is not as big a stretch to them as it would be for someone that has had their hands on money after working a long days work. Radicals College students are also radicals. Most grab on to the idea of social change very well, much better than most adults. Generally speaking, their hearts are still filled with optimism, hope, naiveté if you will, and truly still believe that this world can be a better place. I still believe that is true, and because my heart is passionate about service, I probably will always!
