2. A Memorable Day – High
School
This photograph was taken on the last
day of my School with my classmates
who always worked as a team
throughout the 2 years.
Our team worked together and solved
various Accounting Cases and other
tasks in School.
Our aim was to develop our skills which
would be required in our future.
We as a team participated in various
inter-school competitions and it was a
great time working together.
I developed my team working skills
right since my high-school and learnt to
accept others opinion.
3. A wise advice for Life
A trip organised by School of Business for
all the business students with an aim to
get new students familiar with others.
This trip was mainly for students enrolled
in business programs. It turned out to be
a great opportunity for everyone to grow
their network and break the Ice.
The Professors(in the Picture) who
accompanied the students gave a lot of
handy tips throughout the trip. The trip
was filled with ice breaking activities
which made the environment light and
enjoyable
I learnt to be more social and more
communicative in my meetings with
people from different parts of the world. It
was a great boost to my confidence and
has also made me learn that we cannot
experience everything but every person
has some experience, thus we can learn
from it. This is the life long advice to be
remembered and is given by my two
professors.
4. Being a Leader….
What it is to be a leader? It cannot be
understood until you are one. This photograph
is with some of my group members and also
my professor at Centennial College.
The task was to lead the group throughout the
semester(4 months) and complete all the
group assignments which included Research
on Companies, Presenting Company Reports,
and learning other strategies for success.
As a leader I delegated duties to each
member and helped them if they could not
complete the work. Few of my members could
not speak in front of audience, it was a
challenge for me but after some motivation
and practice they had no problem speaking. I
made sure that all work for the same goal and
the harmony was maintained
We completed all our group projects and I was
able to sharpen my leadership skills which I
think are very essential for everyone today.
Also I learnt a lot of strategies which can be
used to achieve Success
5. Save the Girl Child Event
An event which would put you to thought. It
was a great time volunteering at the Event.
The event was at Centennial College with
participants from different schools.
The purpose of the Event was to spread
awareness of the torture done to girls even
today in the most modern cities of the world.
Selling girls for money, killing the girl child
before birth, husband torturing wife etc. were
the main issues raised by the performances
by participants from different schools.
I was responsible for the display, the stage
setup with a few of my other volunteer mates.
Also made sure all participants know their
seating in the event hall. It was also a good
time taking care of the food stall for the
participants.
This event was an eye-opener. It was very
inspirational. In addition it improved my
organisation, communication and negotiation
skills.
6. An International Experience
This was the latest(May 2013) International
Orientation at Centennial
College which welcomed a large number of
students from across the world.
As volunteers, we were responsible for a various
number of tasks as it was a Big Event. We
changed our duties at a very fast pace and
made sure the event functions smoothly.
I was responsible for welcoming the students,
talking to them and making them comfortable.
Also distributed welcome bags and team tags to
students. In addition to it I also participated in the
games organized for the students. They were the
Ice-Breakers, I made quite many friends out
there.
This event surely improved my communication
skills and also tasted working under fast-paced
environment. I look forward to volunteer again in
such Events in the near future.
