  3. 3. How do we exchange in the LC? Outgoing Exchange (OGX) – consists on sending a member of the LC for an internship opportunity in a company abroad. Incoming Exchange (ICX) – consists in opening an internship position in a company in our country to provide opportunity for members from other countries to develop themselves.   4. 4. eXchange in the AIESEC XP• eXchange is divided into 2 different Programs in the AIESEC eXPerience• Global Community Developemnt Program (GCDP) Global Internshp Program ( GIP ) AIESEC in Spain Induction 07/08
  5. 5. Types of Exchange?1. Management Internships (MT) – theyare internships around management issues.Generally they are focused on marketing,business administration, accounting, finance andhuman resources. 2. Development Internships (DT) – they are internships around community development issues. Generally they are focused on social sciences and voluntary work. AIESEC in Spain Induction 07/08
  6. 6. Types of Exchange? 3. Technical Internships (TT) – they are internships in around technology issues. Generally they are focused on IT, electric, electronic and communication engineering.4.   7. 7. Duration of the internshipsAIESEC internships can have the duration ofbetween 6 weeks to 78 weeks.The duration of the internships depends on thepreferences of the company and the students. AIESEC in Spain Induction 07/08
  8. 8. How to apply for an Exchange?To apply for an internship, members have to deliver the following documents: 1. Draft of EP Form. 2. CV in English with photo. 3. Motivation letter in English. AIESEC in Spain Induction 07/08
  9. 9. How is the selection? AIESEC internship selection it’s based on thepersonal and professional competencies showed by the candidates.Besides this we should have in consideration the attitude,motivation and understanding of AIESEC internships. AIESEC in Spain Induction 07/08

What are the selection stages?The selection of the Exchange Participants (EPs) should occur in parallel with the induction activities.The selection process is composedby the following tests:1. Pre-screening of applications;2. Language tests;3. Review Board (individual assessment interview). AIESEC in Spain Induction 07/08
  11. 11. What are EPs? Exchange ParticipantsIn the ideal AIESEC Experience flow members should pass, this is just one of the opportunities. So they are members going on a life-changing exchange experience. AIESEC in Spain Induction 07/08
  12. 12. What are TNs? TNs or Traineeship Nomineesare the internships raised by us in the companies to provide an opportunity for AIESEC members of other countries to develop themselves in a life changing experience. AIESEC in Spain Induction 07/08

How do I search for an internship?For the search of internships in AIESEC we have anonline system where are inserted all the internships andstudents forms.This online system is called Exchange Module:- it makes the crosscheck of information between therequirements of the TNs and the preferences of the EPs.- it shows us the most adequate internships for each EP.   14. 14. How do we make the match with my EP?The OGX flow has 5 main steps: AIESEC in Spain Induction 07/08
  15. 15. Pre-recruitment During this part of flow we`re doing Segmentation of target audience. After this we plan our goals for recruitment. AIESEC in Spain Induction 07/08
  16. 16. LC Recruitment During selection part of OGX process we check language level, attitudes for traineeship, expectations, etc. So, this is the selection process. AIESEC in Spain Induction 07/08
  17. 17. Pre-Exchange After selection process exchange participants enter their EP forms. Match them and going thorough acceptance procedures. After this going cultural, AIESEC and professional preparation. For example, in outgoing preparation seminar form. AIESEC in Spain Induction 07/08
  18. 18. Exchange Experience It is realization period. Exchange participants come to destination LC and starts their exchange experience. Also they communicate within home LC to control their internship process. AIESEC in Spain Induction 07/08

  21. 21. Sales PreparationFor an appropriate sales preparationyou have to conduct properSEGMENTATION & TARGETING. At theend of this step you know WHO youwant to approach for sales. Then youhave to identify the best approach onHOW to do this through setting thePOSITIONING strategy. AIESEC in Spain Induction 07/08
  22. 22. Selling Once the positioning strategy is defined you move into EXECUTING THE POSITIONING STRATEGY which brings us to SALES AT THE LOCAL LEVEL: • Sales meetings/appointments • Constant follow up’s • Signing the TN-Form AIESEC in Spain Induction 07/08

This step starts withall the logistical processes that AIESEC will run suchas entering the TN form on aiesec.net, matching theform & exchanging acceptance. AIESEC in Spain Induction 07/08
  25. 25. Matching&DeliveryOnce these are in place we are moving into theprocesses that focus on the processes that arefocussed on the interns experience like reception,preparation, induction into the organisation & LocalCommittee etc. AIESEC in Spain Induction 07/08
