Institut Campclar opened in 1981 and it was the first secondary
school in our neighbourhood.
At the moment, the INS Campclar has 66 teachers, 5 clerks and 553
students.

3. Our secondary school offers courses in GCSE, A-levels and
vocational training.
GCSE: Starts at age 12 and it finish at age 16.
A-levels: Scientific, technological, humanistic and economics.
Vocational training: Until now there was only the IT one, but this
year we have a commerce one.

PROJECTS
• ERASMUS +: There are two K2 Erasmus + projects in our school. The first
one is called “Fit for work in Europe”, promoting the collaborative work
within five European countries: France, Germany, Hungary, Poland and
Spain. The second one is called “Here comes the Sun(power)”, about
renewable energies with special attention to sun power. In this one the
schools involved are from Italy, Czech Republic, Poland, Turkey and Spain.
• STEPS Project: It’s a project about energy efficiency, the students
develop related activities to reduce energy costs, the collection of data,
the implementation of saving measures and raising student awareness.
5. • 3D project: 3D is a project that aims to encourage participatory
culture within schools through the development of a specific
project chosen by the students themselves and implemented in a
participatory way.
• eTwinning: Online projects promoting different collaborative
activities among European schools. Nowadays we have got two
different ones : “Naturalmente Europa?! “ and “ Fit for work in
Europe”.

6. ACTIVITIES
• Exchange Spain-France: Since 2008, the students of GCSE and A-
levels have the opportunity to travel to France in tribute to
Antonio Machado.
• The Science week: In this week we do activities related to
science, such as a photograph contest and chemistry and physics
experiments.
• Trip to London: A-levels last year students travel to London to
learn about the British culture and customs.

FESTIVITIES
• Christmas: At Christmas we decorate our classrooms and hall. The school
orchestra performs a Christmas carol concert for parents, teachers and
students.
• Carnival: There is a fancy dress parade at the schoolyard where students
and teachers show their disguise.
• Sant Jordi: There is a literature contest where students present their
writings in Catalan and Spanish. We also do a continuous reading of EL
QUIJOTE, the students of every year and teachers participate in it.
• Sports day: At the end of June we celebrate our sports day when football,
basketball, table tennis tournaments are held. There are also dancing
exhibitions .

14. Project description
“Here comes the sun (power)” is an Erasmus+ K2 project that will last for two
years (2016-2018) and it is sponsored by the European Commission in order
to encourage our students to have a positive attitude towards Europe and its
values.
The schools involved in the project are from five European countries: Italy,
Turkey, Czech Republic, Poland and Spain.

15. Main Goals:
• To improve the quality of our school’s educational offer.
• To improve our students’ competence in foreign languages.
• To reinforce the students’ ICT competences.
• To promote our students’ conscience about the social, linguistic
and cultural diversity and their enterprising spirit.
• To make our students conscious about our current environmental
problems.
• To learn about renewable energies with a special reference to
sun power.
• To integrate their gained knowledge to get a sustainable
development.

16. Project’s students requirements :
• All the students entering the project should have passed every
subject of the previous school year .
• Their English language mark should be ≥ 8
• They must be sociable, open minded and show positive attitude
towards other cultures and societies.
• They must be willing to work at the school one evening a week .
• They must be willing to work in international groups.
• They must be conscious of the fact that entering in this project
doesn’t imply travelling.

17. The project will be integrated in the curriculum and
graded as the final compulsory assignment that has to be
done by every last year GCSE student.

Activities schedule
• 26th September 2016: The school headmistress will present the project to
the school council.
• On the first October fortnight participants will be selected.
• On the second October fortnight we will present the project to the students
and parents
• At the end of October we will start working the activities already arranged
in Naples.
