3. SMS TEXTING
Business Need:
• Send text messages to candidates with
reminders to complete assessments,
second pass and onboarding tasks.
• Send notifications to candidates about
hiring events in their area.
Process:
Using a filtered TCC export with candidate’s
mobile numbers, TCC sends the file to the SMS
vendor who processes the file and sends the
text message.

4. SMS TEXTING
Important Considerations:
• Remember to capture their opt-in consent.
• Determine the most effective time to deliver
messages based on your audience’s schedule.
• If you’re a global company, remember
international number formats.
• Limit the number of characters for
any tokens used (if vendor supports this).
• Cost considerations: fees for number of messages sent,
SMS vendor setup, and short code registration.

5. DELAYED CORRESPONDENCES
Business Need:
• Automatically send correspondences to candidates when they reach the
‘Rejected’ step; however, don’t notify candidates who failed the
assessment immediately upon completion.
Process:
An additional status (“Assessment Failed”) is added. Auto-progression is
configured to move candidates to that status when they fail the assessment.
TCC exports candidates that were placed in “Assessment Failed” two days
ago. TCC import is run to move candidates from “Assessment Failed” to
“Rejected” which triggers the rejection correspondence.

6. OFF-BOARDING
Business Need:
• You want to automate a formal off-boarding
process when employees leave the company.
Process:
HRMS exports a daily/weekly feed of terminated
employees. TCC imports the ‘term’ file from the
HRMS into Taleo. The import initiates Off-
boarding process in Onboarding (Transitions).

7. COMPLEX OFFER CALCULATIONS
Business Need:
• Provide candidates with the value of their Total Compensation
package, calculated based on offer details.
Process:
TCC exports and calculates the necessary values based on various
offer and requisition fields. TCC then imports the calculated values
back into offer UDFs which are then pulled into the offer letter.

8. APPLICATION PDF EXPORT
Business Need:
• Company wants a PDF file of every
candidate’s job submission to store in a data
warehouse for legal compliance and
reference.
Process:
TCC exports job submission data and designs a
PDF file based off of the data using custom post-
processing steps. Data can be pulled out of 15
entities, combined, rendered in PDF format, then
stored for DMS storage / legal compliance.

9. TRAINING PREP
Business Need:
• You frequently hold Taleo training sessions for new recruiters, which
include staging candidate and requisition data the same way every time.
Currently, this is setup manually before each training event.
Process:
TCC has the capability to create candidates, requisitions, ‘training user’
accounts and stage candidates in different steps/statuses. In addition, this
process could also be used for setting up user acceptance testing.

10. REPORTING
Business Need:
• A crucial reporting object was not updating on the expected
schedule. This object was used in a daily report that
required up-to-date data.
Process:
Report was recreated using TCC and emailed to report
recipients. (Important Note: TCC is not intended to be a
replacement for Reporting). Overall considerations:
• Scheduling and processing time to avoid conflicting processes.
• Data limits: Export - 500k per day/100k per transaction; Import - 50k
per day (Standard offering. Premium offering upgrade is available)

11. ONBOARDING DOCUMENT EXPORT
Business Need:
• You need to archive specific documents completed during the
Onboarding process.
Process:
TCC exports specified new hire files as PDFs using post-processing
steps. TCC then sends PDF to document management system with
metadata index file. Document management system automatically
archives documents.
