Description (one paragraph)
• Ultra Wide Band (UWB) radio is a developing technology with
smart features useful for wireless communications, networking,
radar processing, imaging and positioning. Ultra wide band can
be defined a very short range carrier communications technology
which basically transmits information in the form of short pulses.
• FCC released in 2002, ultra wide band antenna operates the
frequency range (3.1 – 10.6 GHz).
Introduction
 Antenna sizes became one of the greatest challenges in downsizing
wireless modules
 Challenges are also due to their integration with boards containing
many electronic devices.
 Social demand has resulted developments and manufacturing of
modern wireless technologies such as WiMax,Wi-Fi,3G/4G/5G
 All of these wireless module, antennas became the front-end of the
integrated electronic modules.
 ultra wide band (UWB) antenna has been done in different geometry
in patch antenna with different Slot.

Problem Statement
To integrate many services on today’s wireless technologies we need to
have Ultra Wide Band (UWB) antenna.
The design of band notched antenna for ultra wide band applications
has been done in different geometry in order to achieve ultra wideband,
but the problem is the achievement of compactness of the antenna and
better gain.
Proposing a micro-strip patch antenna with innovative design which
allow it to function in an Ultra Wideband Frequency with it Is range
from 3.1 to 10.6 GHz with a better gain.
Objectives
1. To design microstrip patch antenna for UWB
applications which included band rejection
capability.
2. To perform and analyze the result by
simulating using Computer Simulation
Technology software (CST).
3. To analyze performance of the designed
antennas and fabricate the structure of the
antenna.
Methodology
Expected
The expected outcomes of this research which will hopefully be attained by the
end of the research deadline are :
I. A Band notched antenna for Ultra wide band applications with enhanced
efficiency compared to the conventional designs of Ultra Wide band (UWB)
applications.
II. It is also expected to gain knowledge in the field of microstrip patch
antenna structure with ultra wide band applications, patch antenna with
notched filter antenna analysis, synthesis, and fabrication
III. publishing article(s) in revered international or local journals and thesis.

Description (one paragraph) • Ultra Wide Band (UWB) radio is a developing technology with smart features useful for wireless communications, networking, radar processing, imaging and positioning. Ultra wide band can be defined a very short range carrier communications technology which basically transmits information in the form of short pulses. • FCC released in 2002, ultra wide band antenna operates the frequency range (3.1 – 10.6 GHz).

Introduction  Antenna sizes became one of the greatest challenges in downsizing wireless modules  Challenges are also due to their integration with boards containing many electronic devices.  Social demand has resulted developments and manufacturing of modern wireless technologies such as WiMax,Wi-Fi,3G/4G/5G  All of these wireless module, antennas became the front-end of the integrated electronic modules.  ultra wide band (UWB) antenna has been done in different geometry in patch antenna with different Slot.

  • 6. Problem Statement To integrate many services on today’s wireless technologies we need to have Ultra Wide Band (UWB) antenna. The design of band notched antenna for ultra wide band applications has been done in different geometry in order to achieve ultra wideband, but the problem is the achievement of compactness of the antenna and better gain. Proposing a micro-strip patch antenna with innovative design which allow it to function in an Ultra Wideband Frequency with it Is range from 3.1 to 10.6 GHz with a better gain.
  • 7. Objectives 1. To design microstrip patch antenna for UWB applications which included band rejection capability. 2. To perform and analyze the result by simulating using Computer Simulation Technology software (CST). 3. To analyze performance of the designed antennas and fabricate the structure of the antenna.
  • 9. Expected The expected outcomes of this research which will hopefully be attained by the end of the research deadline are : I. A Band notched antenna for Ultra wide band applications with enhanced efficiency compared to the conventional designs of Ultra Wide band (UWB) applications. II. It is also expected to gain knowledge in the field of microstrip patch antenna structure with ultra wide band applications, patch antenna with notched filter antenna analysis, synthesis, and fabrication III. publishing article(s) in revered international or local journals and thesis.
