  • 1. Dates To Know Keep up with Deadlines!
  • 2. Financial Aid Deadlines
    • FAFSA priority deadline – March 1
    • General Scholarships – March 1
    • Loans – deadlines vary every term
    • However, deadlines are posted online at the “Dates To Know” web page, http://www.utb.edu/em/fa/Pages/DatesToKnow.aspx
  • 3. Plan Ahead for Registration
    • Applying early is the key!
    • Follow your program of study
    • Finalize your registration early to avoid additional fees
    • Be familiar with “Important Dates”, http://www.utb.edu/vpaa/Pages/current_calendars.aspx
    • Plan to pay by no later than the payment deadline to avoid getting voided
  • 4. 18 Hour Program Review
    • You will be required to submit your e-Portfolio for review within the first 18 hours of program
    • Include select, review, evaluate and show works that reflect your achievement in the M.Ed. program
    • Submit your e-Portfolio to your faculty advisor for review & approval
    • If approved, the advisor will sign off the e-Portfolio and allow you to enroll for further courses
    • If not approved, you will be placed on a growth plan for one semester

  • 5. Graduation Deadline
    • Take action early!
    • Know when is the deadline to apply for graduation which is available on the Academic Calendar online, www.utb.edu/vpaa/Pages/current_calendars.aspx
    • Obtain a Graduation Application online
    • The Graduation Application must be submitted to Graduate Studies along with the fee.
    • Once the application has been processed, you will received notification from Registrar’s Office of your commencement participation.
