  • Hi! Thank you for sharing God's Lessons in reflection to our work/career. 60% of our lives we are working, if we're not happy with our work, 60% of our lives we are not happy. God provides us talents, desires because we have different mission in this life. God blessed me with unique talents, big dreams & ideas, and also life's mistakes, temporary failures and challenges that I strongly believed that He is preparing me for something big. Jeremiah 1:12 …for I watch over my word to perform it. Our job is to speak Gods word over our job situation - step out in faith - and watch situations turn around.The seven sections below hold Gods promises regarding key areas foryour career development and calling: • Guiding hand of God - You will need God’s guiding hand to find work. • Revelation - You will need revelation to find work. Rely on God’s, not your own! • Desires of your heart - Don’t settle for any old job, God’s advice to is follow your desires. • God’s Plans for your future - To find the right work, you will need to embrace God’s plans for your future. • Strength - God’s not your own! You will need strength to find work. Rely on God’s, not your own! • Growth as a Christian - To move into our next job, God sometimes wants us to first grow as Christians. • Hunger for God - In your search for work, God wants you to develop a hunger for Him and His things in your life.The Guiding hand of God - You will need God’s guiding hand to find work.Deuteronomy 8: 2-5 Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the desertthese forty years, to humble you and to test you in order to know what was in your heart,whether or not you would keep His commands. Rely on God’s, not your own!Deut 29: 29 The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belongto us and to our children for ever…Matt 13: 9 –13 He (Jesus) replied, “The knowledge of the secrets of the Kingdom ofHeaven has been given to you, but not to them. Whoever has will be given more, and hewill have an abundance.Eph 1: 17 –18 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Glorious Father,may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better. I prayalso that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope towhich He has called you….Rev 1: 1 The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show His servants whatmust soon take place.John 15: 14 –15 You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call youservants because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have calledyou friends for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.Isaiah 30: 21 Your ears will hear a voice behind you saying “This is the way; walk in it”Habakkuk 2:3 For the revelation awaits an appointed time; It speaks of the end and willnot prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.Desires of your heart - Don’t settle for any old job, God’s advice to is followyour desires.Psalm 63: 4 -5 I will praise you as long as I live, in your name lift up my hands All mylongings fulfilled as with the richest of foods..Psalm 63: 5 All my desires satisfied as with the richest of food.Psalm 37: 4 Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.Matt: 25: 23 ..I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’shappiness!Psalm 103: 5 Who satisfies your desires with good things. 3

God’s Plans for your future - To find the right work, you will need toembrace God’s plans for your future.Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do goodworks, which God prepared in advance for us to do.Psalm 139: 3 You discern my going out and my lying down. You are familiar with all myways, Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely O Lord!Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this that He who began a good work in you will carry iton to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.Romans 8: 28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who loveHim, who have been called according to His purpose.Isaiah 43:19 – 20 This is what the Lord says –he who made a way through the sea, apath through the mighty waters, who drew out the chariots and horses, the army andreinforcements together, and they lay there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed outlike a wick:Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See I am doing a new thing! Now itsprings up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in thewasteland1 Cor 2: 9-10 No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God hasprepared for those who love Him – but God has revealed it to us by His Spirit.Jeremiah 1: 5 Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, Before you were born I setyou apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nationsPsalm 139: 16 All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of themcame to be.Jeremiah 29: 11 – 14 “For I know the plans that I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plansto prospers you and not to harm you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans togive you a hope and a future.”“Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me and I will listen to you. You will seekme and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you” declares theLord.Psalm 138: 8 The Lord will fulfil His purpose for me. 4

Strength – God’s not your own! - You will need strength to find work.Rely on God’s, not your own!Psalm 34:8 Taste and see that the Lord is good, blessed is the man who takes refuge inHim.Matt 11: 28-29 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give yourest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me….Psalm 51: 10–12 Create in me a pure heart, O God and renew a steadfast spirit withinme… Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me.2 Cor 12: 9 My (God’s) power is made perfect in weakness.Psalm 63: 6 – 8 On my bed when I think of you I muse on you in the watches of thenight, For you have always been my help. In the shadow of your wings I rejoice My heartclings to you, your right hand supports me.Isaiah 40: 12 – 14 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, or with thebreadth of His hand marked off the heavens? Who has held the dust of the earth in abasket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and hills in a balance? Who hasunderstood the mind of the Lord, or instructed Him as His counsellor? Whom did the Lordconsult of enlighten Him, and who taught Him the right way?Numbers 6:22 The Lord said to Moses. “Tell Aaron and his sons. This is how you are tobless the Israelites. Say to them: “The Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make hisface shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord turn his face towards you and giveyou peace.   6. 6. Growth as a Christian - To move into our next job, God sometimes wants usto first grow as Christians.Phil 3: 15 All of us who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on somepoint you think differently that too God will make clear to you.Hebrews 12:11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however,it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.James 1:12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stoodthe test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.1 Peter 1: 6-7 These trials have come so that your faith – of greater worth than gold,which perishes even though refined by fire – may be proved genuine and may result inpraise, glory and honour when Jesus Christ is revealed.Job 23: 10 But He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I shall come forthas gold!Psalm 131:2 But I have stilled and quietened my soul, like a weaned child with itsmother, like a weaned child is my soul within me.Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God…Phil 3: 14 I press on towards the goal to win the prize for which God has called meheavenwards in Christ Jesus.Hebrews 12: 2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faithEphesians 4: 22-24 You were taught with regard to your former way of life, to put offyour old self which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in theattitude of our minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in truerighteousness and holiness.Romans 5: 3-4 because we know that suffering produces perseverance, perseverance,character, and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us…1 Corinthians 10: 6 And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what youcan bear….He will also provide a way out.Psalm 37: 5-7 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this: He willmake your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noondaysun. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when men succeed intheir ways. 6
  7. 7. Hunger for God - In your search for work, God wants you to develop a hunger forHim and His things in your life.Psalm 123: 1- 2 I lift up my eyes to you, to you whose throne is in Heaven. As the eyesof slaves look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maid look to the hand of hermistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God, till he shows us his mercy.Psalm 84: 1- 4,10 How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord Almighty! My soul yearns,even faints for the courts of the Lord, my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God….Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeperin the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.Psalm 24: 5-6 He (you) will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God his(your) Saviour. Such is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek your face, O Godof Jacob.Jeremiah 29: 13-14 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with your wholeheart. I will be found by you declares the Lord.Psalm 34: 4-5 I sought the Lord, and He answered me. He delivered me from all myfears. Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.Psalm 73: 25-26 Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desirebesides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart, and myportion forever.Psalm 27: 8 My heart says of you “Seek His face!” Your face, Lord, I will seek.Psalm 63: 1 O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, mybody longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
