1. The Rainbird Foundation is committed to the end of child abuse as an idea whose time has come. The Rainbird Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit based in Madison, WI.
2. The Rainbird Foundation impacts the many facets of child abuse by developing partnerships with local and global organizations who are committed to the end of child abuse. These partnerships will include developing or redesigning and implementing services, providing educational opportunities, seminars, and training sessions, and participating in speaking engagements that further the commitment to the end of child abuse. The Rainbird Foundation participates in projects that produce an alternative solution and results that contribute to the end of child abuse. Our projects target legislation, social services, and law enforcement reform, as well as provide public education and civic programs that transform individuals, families, and communities.

5. This event starts at 12:00pm and finishes at 3:00pm. Pre-registration is required. Prizes will be given to the person in each age group who raises the most pledges. The 1,000 Mile Journey is developing a visible community presence committed to the end of child abuse. We will make our first contributions to an organization or organizations in Wisconsin whose work is contributing to the end of child abuse. We are committed to drawing attention to the crucial need for proper legislation that supports the end of child abuse. The Rainbird Foundation is hosting its inaugural annual fundraising event: The 1,000 Mile Journey, a one mile walk with 1,000 or more participants, scheduled for Sunday, April 25, 2010 on the Capitol Square in Madison, WI.
6. Hanna Roth was one of the founding principles of The Coaching Exchange, inc., one of the first coaching firms in the country, built in the early 80's, in Los Angeles, California. The Coaching Exchange worked with entrepreneurs, religious leaders, government agencies, celebrities, and Fortune 100 companies. For over 25 years Ms. Roth has worked in business, fundraising, event planning and management, and leads courses nationally. She is also a writer, editor, and a magazine columnist. As a child advocate, she specializes in working with teens and families. Ms. Roth is committed to the well-being of children and the eradication of child abuse. The Founders Elisabeth Norton has been an educator and coach, mentoring students in building strong, successful business practices for over 15 years. She is one of the Midwest's finest Myofascial Release Therapists, a therapy on the cutting edge of physical and emotional recovery. She received her Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Ms. Norton is a relationship coach, speaker, writer, and columnist. She blogs on relationships as “Mz. E”. Her commitment is to people having healthy relationships. Her passion is for young people, in particular teenagers, to be well cared for, loved, and respected.
