2. United Way Regina is
expanding our
Day of Caring
to a year long program.
3. We want to enhance the
Day of Caring
experience for both those
who are volunteering their
time and for the
community based
organizations involved.
4. We hope to
better match the
capacities of both the
volunteering
organization and
their participants
and the
community based
organization
5. Our hope is to better engage and
recognize all those involved.

7. We have been
fragmented in
our approach.
Everything stood by itself:
Campaign, GenNext,
Day of Caring,
new community initiatives,
volunteer opportunities.
Each in its own disconnected
silo – separate – stand alone –
cookie cutting approach
9. Our objective is to be far
more relationship centric
with our major donors.
Offering a far more comprehensive
relationship that aligns with our donors
corporate social responsibility
policies; employee engagement
goals; and offering enriched
opportunities for recognition.
11. We want
Day of Caring
to be a
strategic asset
for community
development – for
everyone involved.
12. Tammy Hicks
is now the
Day of Caring
coordinator.
Tammy will be
DOC Central
in coordinating projects and
opportunities.
13. We will be asking for
Expressions of Interest
submissions of possible
projects, outlining some of
the essentials
timeframes for the project
ie it can only happen in a certain
month or requires a finacial
support to proceed.
14. We will be
proactive
in contacting partners
when we have an expression
of interest from a
corporate partner we
believe might be a suitable
match in terms of alignment,
previous history of DOC and
other factors.
