8. WHY FEAR GOD?….
• The fear of the LORD is the beginning of
wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is
understanding (Proverbs 9:10).
• Teach me your way, O LORD, and I will
walk in your truth; give me an undivided
heart, that I may fear your name (Psalm
86:11).

9. WHY FEAR GOD?….
• The fear of the LORD is the beginning of
wisdom; all who follow his precepts have
good understanding (Psalm 111:10).
• Serve the LORD with fear and rejoice with
trembling (Psalm 2:11).

In spite of Pharoah’s power, reputation
and army, Shiphrah and Puah did not
allow him to intimidate him. When he
summoned them, they boldly faced him
with a unified story. He did not execute
them, but let them go.
