2. Magazine Article
This is a very vague draft
For the magazine article.
3. Magazine schedule
• Magazine: I will allow one week for the magazine
article to be produced and published. This is the
maximum amount of time that I will allow magazines
are used to creating articles in a very short time. I
researched it would take 1 day for the photo-shoot
for the artist along side of having an interview, 1 day
to write up the article and create it, and 1 day to
print. In total that is 3 days however I have given a 4
day leeway so that there is room for improvement
and to make sure no packaging and posting issues
arise. I expect this to be done by April 19th.
5. DigiPak schedule
• Album (Digipak): After a short period or research for the album I
will allow 2 weeks to produce the digipak. This is because it will
take a minimum of 1 day to do the photoshoot, 1 day to produce
the graphics and designs which will be used on the album, 2 days
to put it all together, 1 day to create the actualCDdisk, and 3 days
to get hold of the actual digipaks. Along side of this there is
postage and delivery to think about, I also made sure after doing
my research thatIgave myself enough time to correct mistakes if
any occur, which is highly unlikely. This is expected to be out April
30th. This is a key date as the magazine by the point would have
been released and audience knowledge will be wider about the
artist at this point.
7. Flyer schedule
• Flyer: Once again after lots of research I found that to
produce, design and send my flyers it takes 4 days for
that. In these 4 days there will be drafts produced,
photoshoots done and it will all be checked to make sure
its right for the artist. It takes 2 days to actually print the
flyer, then another 3 days to return the flyers to me. I've
given one day for postage and printing problems to be
sorted out (if any which once again is highly unlikely). The
flyer is expected to be completed by May 27th. This date
has been chosen because it leaves room for fans to listen
to the newley released album and prepares them for the
gig (which the flyer promotes)
8. Budget
• Magazine Article: The price of a place in a magazine is mutual, as they will be
providing us with publicity and we will also be providing them sales for their
magazine. (http://www.condenast.co.uk/)
• CD (Digipak) A local Shropshire photographer named Mike Norman would be a
great person to use for the cover of the CD/Album. His prices start about £575,
ranging to about £1,500. I have a budget of about £700 for a photographer.
