Target Audience
Target Audience- Why This Image?
I believe that this image sums up my target audience for
my magazine. The concert scenery is to represent my
target audiences interest in the culture of music in the
first place. In that image there is both male and female
present within the image, this shows that there is a
indication that my target audience is of the male and
female, and not just aimed at one gender specifically.
From this image there is no obvious indication of what
type of genre of music that the magazine is aimed at
however, due to pop culture being very popular and one
of the most liked genres I thought that the whole
scenery could represent any genre it just depends on
how one interprets an image. In addition to this the
audience all seem to of the age group of young
adults/teenagers, which the category that I chose my
magazine to fall into.
Media Kit
Here is my media Kit to represent my
magazine statistics and information for
contact for mu music magazine. I have
included a few logos of companies which link
in well with my chosen target audience as
well as logos which mimic the theme and
genre of the music magazine.
I have my front cover of my magazine along
side with contact information including an
email address, telephone number and an
Address of the main publishing and selling
location.
Target Audience
 My typical target audience would be of a 16 year old
teenager, whom is studying in college. This particular
member shops in a variety of shopping such as ASOS,
New Look, Boohoo and H&M. They are inspired by the
latest fashion and look up to people like celebrities to
get ideas on what’s in and what is cool to wear. She
listens to a variety of music but in particular the
common pop culture music. It would be most likely that
they TV programmes that they would watch would be
relatable teen situations like Skins.
Why Would They Buy This Magazine?
 I aimed to create a magazine with a mainstream feel but add aspects of niche
elements, so having the combination of music and fashion together which is
an odd combination but it works well in my opinion. I aimed my target
audience to a teenage audience whom at this moment are the age group
known to purchase music magazines and in addition to this teenagers are
exposed to social media and different platforms of media, so the magazine
could be on an online platform which will encourage readers to buy and read,
either in paper form or online. It has an appealing front cover with a model
who is the same age, at the age of 17 which is the median age group number
for my magazine, according to the media kit I composed with statistics and
the gender ratios.
Audience As a Product
 When it comes to choosing a target audience, you need to look into other
people perspective and really understand what a target audience would like
and what they want to be included in each issue. If you do not include genres
and features which a target audience wants, they will not be interested and
by it. Its highly important to draw your target audience in as a product and
to see your audience as a product because it is just as important as planning
the magazine and creating and publishing.
