Emily Davis PROGRESS UPDATE PLAN FOR NEXT MONTH / WEEK(Including Possible
Contingency Plans If Problems Anticipated)
Mon W/B 07/01/13
(Detailed Weekly Summary)
For next week I am going to look for photography styles
and themes and see if I can find any ideas that will help
me produce my final major project. I’m hoping it will
give me lots of ideas and I have different choices of
what I could do.
Mon W/B 14/01/13
This week on Monday I made a production schedule for my whole
final major project. I have set everything out all my research, pre-
production, production and post- production so that I concentrate
on a certain task each week. This week I set myself to look at
photography styles and themes. I have been looking at some but
still haven’t found any like I like and think will be good for my
project. I am going to keep looking over the weekend for some
ideas that I like and then if I can’t find any I will have to extend my
first bit of research to next week. Also this week I started making a
mind map of the themes and styles I actually have found and are
considering.
Next week I am going to research some photographers I
like, that use the same styles I want to use and put into
my final major project. I am going to put them into a
PowerPoint and write about them the styles and themes
they use and how they could influence my work.
Mon W/B 21/01/13
This week I started an ideas generation mind map. I chose three
projects I could possible do and wrote about each one in detail.
When I finished this I posted it on my blog and then read through
and looked at the ideas I decided to do my project on
photography. I have decided what style of photographs I want to
take so now I am researching photographers that use the same
kind of style I like. I am going to put my research into a
PowerPoint.
Next week I am going to start my proposal for my idea. I
will also carry on writing about the photographers that
influence me. I will also keep looking at my production
schedule to see if I need to update it if I need any more
time on a certain task.
Mon W/B 28/01/13
This week I found a photographer that I like I started to write
about her and research more of her work. She influenced me and
gave me some ideas. I started my proposal for my project with the
idea that I had. As I started writing more and researching I came up
with a good idea for my project that I want to carry on researching
and then finally produce.
Next week I will finish my PowerPoint that I am doing on
photographers that influence my work. So I will need to
research photography and write about their work. I can
then put this onto my blog.

Mon W/B 04/02/13
This week I found another photography that influenced me. She
was closer to the style of photography I want to do for my project.
I finished my influences PowerPoint of with the photographers I
found and put it on the blog. I also updated my production
schedule and put this on the blog again with the title it was
updated. I changed on it when I started my production log so that
it showed me updating it through the whole project. When I put
my updated schedule on the blog I wrote about how I am doing
and what had changed.
Next week I need to concentrate on looking at the styles
of the photographers I’ve found useful and make a
mood board of some pictures I like and some of the
pictures they take and compare them.
Mon W/B 11/02/13
This week I put my production schedule on the blog again but I
didn’t update anything because I am on track with my work. So I
just wrote a sentence underneath explaining I am up to date with
my progress. I also looked online at my photographers I have
chosen for my influences and collected together some of their’
images and put them onto a mood board. I did this to show the
style of photos I like of theirs’ and which ones influence my work
and idea.
Next week I want to start and finish a mind map. I will
choose out of the photographers I have been
researching and write about the things they do in their
work that I like and could use in my work. Also to start a
power point on looking at the effects some of my
photography influences have re-created in their new
images.
Mon W/B 18/02/13
This week I updated my production schedule because I added
another column to my research. I started my mind map on the
photographer that most influenced my work. I wrote about all the
different styles she used in her work and then how I could use
them in mine. This week I also started a power point showing the
pictures I liked from my photography influences and the effects
they use to re-create some of the old pictures they have. I have
uploaded both of these to the blog.
Next week I want to continue looking for images in my
own time as well as keeping up to date my production
schedule in class. Start on my pre-production section on
my schedule.
Mon W/B 25/02/13
This week I have found 1 image that I want to use in my project I
am looking at the costume props and location for this image for
when I recreate it. Also I have started my pre-production on my
schedule this week. I wrote my paragraph about what I wanted my
pictures to look like and how I was going to take them to give the
same look.
Next week I want to have found more photos for my
project and be looking at how they look what props,
costume and location is in them.
Mon W/B 04/03/13 This week I have updated my production schedule and I am up to Next week I want to research looking for some of the

costume and some of the props I need for the image that I have
found that I am going to recreate.

I have to try and get a similar one.
Mon W/B 11/03/13
This week I have updated my production schedule and added some
extra week of pre-production to it. I have done this because I
wanted to give myself time to actually find the images I wan to
recreate and be able to write about them. With the one Image I
have already found I have wrote about why I want to recreate it
and how I am going to. I have also been looking at locations for this
picture. I started a word document with the first image I chose and
wrote about it and how I am going to re take it.
Next week I want to find some more of my pictures I am
going to recreate and the costume, props and location
for them. I will carry on with my word document with all
my images in and write about how I am going to
recreate them.
Mon W/B 18/03/13
This week I have updated my blog showing that I am on task and so
don’t need to change my production schedule. I have found
another image I want to recreate and wrote about how I’m going
to do that and why. I also took my first picture of me in my mums
wedding dress for my first recreation photo. I got lots of shots so
that I had a range to choose form.
In two weeks’ time I want to choose one of the pictures
I recreated in my mums wedding dress for the final one
to edit like the original. I also want to take the picture I
have write about this week and recreate that.
Mon W/B 08/04/13
This week after being of for two weeks I need to upload my original
image of my mum in her wedding dress and write about it. I have
also found another image I want to use that is black and white so I
will have to use more editing on that picture to get the right black
and white old colour.
Scan the new image I have found and write about how I
want it to look and how I’m going to do it.
Mon W/B 15/04/13
This week I took the second recreation picture. I wrote about how I
wanted it to look, looked at the way the picture was taken and
recreated it with similar location, clothes and pose. Then I spent all
week editing my picture and making it as close to the original as I
could using Photoshop tools and effects.
I want to scan another picture I have found and then
upload that to my blog and write about it. I will then
shoot the recreation picture and begin to edit it next
week.
Mon W/B 22/04/13
This week I uploaded my third original picture and took my
recreation picture to. I wrote about how I was going to recreate
and edit my new third picture and why I chose it. Then I edited my
recreation picture trying to make it look as similar to the original as
I could.
Next week I want to write about what I think went well
with the images I have recreated so far and then look
for my final images to recreate.

Mon W/B 29/04/13
This week I am going to start writing about what I think went well
with my images so far that I have edited. Then I will look for my
final image I want to recreate. The write about why I have chosen
that image and why it has inspired me to recreate it.
Next week I want to evaluate my first recreation picture
that I did and show what I think went well and why I
think it did. Throughout the process of editing my
pictures I have been doing PowerPoint presentations
showing how I edited each image. So I want to upload
all the presentations to my blog and link them to the
same thread that the recreations are in.
Mon W/B 06/05/13
This week I want to write about my new recreation image I have
found and wrote why I chose it and what it means to me. I will also
then evaluate another one of my recreations and say what I think
went well and why. I want to do this so I can reflect on my work
and see what I could of done better if I were to do it again and
what I think was just how I saw it in my head.
Next week I want to take my recreation picture and get
lots of shots so I have a variety to choose from. I will
also do a PowerPoint presentation to show my editing
process with this last image of my recreation project.
Mon W/B 13/05/13
I took my recreation picture this week and I got lots of shots to
choose from so that when it comes to picking the right one that’s
most similar for my recreation project. I also am creating a
PowerPoint to show my editing process.
Next week I want to carry on working on my final
recreation picture and showing my process.
Mon W/B 20/05/13
This week I updated my production schedule and I am up to date
with everything so didn’t need to change it. I am also just
concentrating on my final edit referring back to the original every
time to make it look as close to it as possible.
I want to try and finish my last picture and my
PowerPoint showing my editing process.

This week I looked at my whole project and made sure they were
all right and looked the best they could. Then I uploaded
everything to my blog under the right labels so that everything was
easy to find.
Next week I want to write my final evaluation of my
final image just a small one to show what I thought I did
well.
Mon W/B 10/06/13
This week I don’t have anything to do on my project because I have
finished it. I have uploaded everything to my blog and feel I have
created a good FMP. I will then wait for feedback on whether I
need to add anything to improve my grade.
I will improve on feeback.
