1.
2. I have used a blogging website, Blogger,
to present my work by posting images,
links and videos. I chose to use blogger
as my team mates and myself have easy
access to it and are able to publish and
broadcast our work. I have posted some
images that I have taken off my mobile
phone, a DSLR camera that I borrow and
other images are from Google. Most links
and videos that were posted were from
YouTube. YouTube videos I have posted
were videos such as make up tutorials,
the begging scene of the film 'Twilight'
and a begging scene of a music video. I
used to post textual analysis, audience
research and other things that may be
needed to add on the blog.
3. I used YouTube to look at the beginning scene of the
film ‘Twilight’ to get some inspiration on how to film
the forest part of my teaser trailer. In the beginning
scene of ‘Twilight’ it is of a deer running in the forest
and as my trailer involved a forest scene we got ideas
on filming the trailer like how it is in the YouTube clip.
To the left here are some screen shots from the
YouTube video. They are of the deer running in the
forest.
YouTube is very to use as everyone is familiar with the
software. The only problem that I experienced with
YouTube is that not all the videos I watched was what I
was looking for. YouTube was very useful in pre and
post production as we used YouTube to do research and
we used YouTube to publish our trailer.
4. Youtube.com was very useful during the
development and pre production of the trailer,
poster and magazine front cover. YouTube was
easy to use as when you type anything into the
search bar, something will come up. I used
YouTube to find a tutorial on how to create bite
marks on a hand, bruised eye, bloody nose, slit
eyebrows. The image above is a screen shot of
one of the videos that is on our blog. The image
shown is from the make up tutorial that shows us
how to create a bruised eye, bloody nose and slit
eyebrows. I looked at make up tutorials to get
ideas on possible marks and scars the victim
could have.
5. As a group new used a range of technologies to help us plan what
the poster, magazine front cover and the trailer would be like. We
used websites such as Google and YouTube to research on horror
as a general topic. Then we decided that the genre of our teaser
trailer would be J horror/psychological horror so we based our
work on what we found through our research into J horror and
psychological films.
For audience research, I decided to ask people blackberry
messenger (BBM). BBM is a technology on smart phones which is
used to communicate with friends. One of the reasons for why I
decided to use this messenger as a form of research method is
because its easier than making a survey and making people do
them. Also it is easier to obtain peoples.
