A flyer circulated in May 2014 by the Joint Landowners Coalition of New York, backed by some 70,000 New York landowner residents. The flyer points out three prominent Democrats who have voiced public support for U.S. shale drilling. Three others are also shown, who (so far) have opposed U.S. shale drilling: Andrew Cuomo, Vladimir Putin and Yoko Ono. The flyer is meant to keep up the pressure on Cuomo and get him to end the 6-year tragedy of no shale drilling in New York State.

Hydraulic fracturing is an American innovation that has reduced our dependence on foreign oil,
decreased energy costs, reduced greenhouse gas emissions at levels exceeding Europe’s failing
and highly subsidized renewable programs and is supported by our national leaders and every
state with an opportunity to develop our domestic resources, except New York. Unfortunately,
there are those who oppose our Nation’s energy resurgence, support unrealistic energy options,
have no regard for the ability of our businesses to compete, deny opportunity to dying
communities and are willing to sacrifice our Nation’s progress for their own political ambitions.
