Proficiency in Languages (speaking, reading, writing, understanding, interpreting):
Excellent knowledge of English (mother tongue) and Italian (second language);
good knowledge of Latin, Greek, French, and Spanish; some knowledge of
Esperanto, Portuguese, German, Polish, and Hebrew.
Participated in a two-day International Conference on “Penal Process and the
Protection of Rights in the System of Canon Law”, that was held at the Pontifical
University of the Holy Cross in Rome, Italy (March 25-26, 2004).
Will have completed a gratuitous Language Course in Esperanto at the John Cabot
University in Rome, Italy, that is sponsored by the Rome Esperanto Group to
promote the study of the International Language of Esperanto for the purposes of
international friendship and linguistic equality (2003-2004).
Attended and completed a gratuitous Computer Program Course at the Centro M.
Mezzelani School in Rome, Italy, that was sponsored by the City of Rome (2002-
2003).
Completion of the three-year Academic Courses (1988-1989 & 1994-1996) of the
Rotal Studies (Studium Rotale) at the Apostolic Tribunal of the Roman Rota. The
courses deal with Ecclesiastical Jurisprudence, and are taught in Latin; exams must
be written in Latin.
Pursued advanced theological and pastoral studies at the Pontifical Lateran
University in Rome, Italy (1988-1989). Could obtain the Licentiate in Sacred
Theology (S.T.L.) Degree with a specialization in Pastoral Studies by completing
two more semesters.

Frequented various Seminars regarding Canon Law issues, and completed the
requirements for such Seminars with Honors at various Dicasteries of the Roman
Curia in the Vatican City State as well as at various Tribunals of the Holy See
(1983-1996).
Doctorate of Utriusque Iuris (J.U.D.) Degree magna cum laude in Canon Law and
Civil Law from the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome, Italy (1996). The holder of
the Doctorate of Utriusque Iuris Degree is able to teach subjects pertaining to both
Canon Law and Civil Law, and is considered an Ecclesiastical or Canon Lawyer of
the Roman Catholic Church.
Master of Education (M.Ed.) Degree with Honors from Providence College in

a Seminar and Course in Italian Literature and Criticism at Brown University in

directed by a well-known producer. Despite the insistent invitation to do so, did not
accept to continue in the world of cinematography in order to be faithful to priestly
