Network Energy Consumption in Adhoc Networks Under
Different radio Networks
Abstract
In this work, we consider the behavior of a wireless ad- hoc network under Two Ray Ground and
Shadowing radio models. By means of simulations, we analyze the performance of three routing
protocols: AODV, DSR, and DSDV, and study the global energy depletion inside the network. We found
that the energy consumption due to AODV and DSR can be very different with respect to the radio
