2. ENGLISH
Agra is the most famous tourist destination for the foreigners. You being an Agraite and
associated with „Atithi Devo Bhavah‟ campaign are held responsible to design a Travel
Brochure for „The City of Taj, Agra‟ to attract more foreign tourists.
Including the following in the Travel Brochure:
i. Various sightseeing points in Agra -all the monuments including Fatehpur Sikri.
ii. Various food joints & restaurants for the Taste of India
iii. Various hotels for the comfortable stay.
iv. Various places for shopping- shopping malls & markets for buying authentic
goods.
v. Make the tourists aware of the history of Agra. Write a story about how Agra got
its name (in your own words).
vi. Write a Poem (own composition) in praise of Agra. Mention the rhyme scheme
and the
various poetic devices (simile, metaphor, hyperbole, imagery, alliteration,
personification etc.) used in the poem.
Use colourful papers/scrap file and make your Travel Brochure look attractive with
colourful borders, pictures, photographs and drawings.

carries 10 marks.

Draw 10 frames(max) to depict movement of any clipart on a drawing sheet. You may
use colours.

(A)TIMELINE PROJECT
1 You need to find 5 events that occurred prior to your birth. Since these events
happened before you were born, they will be your negative events. On the number
line, you need to label both the year in which it happened and a number that
corresponds to the year.

3. 2 You need to find 5 events that have happened since your birth. Since these events
happened after you were born, they will be your positive events. On the number line,
you need to label both the year in which it happened and a number that corresponds
to the year.
3 You need to include your birth on your timeline. This will be the zero on your
timeline. Please label it with a “0” as well as the year.
4 To figure out which number to assign to the year, start at your birth, “0”. If you were
born in 1998, that would be your “0”. If something happened in 1995, that was 3
years BEFORE you were born, so it should have a (–3). If something happened in
2000, that was 2 years after you were born, so it should be a (+2).
5 Submit this project on an A4 sheet and attach it in a thread file. You can also show
your creativity by putting snapshots of the events.
