I feel nice sharing my experience of the recent visit of the students of Era Business
School that are MBA programs offers in Delhi to the National Stock Exchange
(NSE).
NSE is located just opposite to the Patel Chowk Metro station, near Connaught
Place, New Delhi. On arrival at the NSE, we were warmly welcomed by Mr.
Aditya and his team members. In a well-structured presentation about the NSE,
Mr. Aditya introduced us to the structure and functioning of the NSE.
NSE is the largest stock exchange of India where we can invest our money for
getting good returns in the future. 1696 companies are listed on NSE. It offers
trading in different segments such as:
1. Equities: - A. Mutual Funds
B. initial public offers
2. C. Exchange Trade Funds
2. Derivatives: - Currency Derivatives
3. Debt: - Bonds and Debentures
I loved their slogan: Soch Kar, Samajh Kar, Invest Kar. It is a wonderful message
suggesting, ‘invest your time before invest your money’. Thus whenever we
invest our money in any company or sector, we should first invest our time to think
why we are investing, where we are investing and if it will give us a good return.
We had our Samosas and steaming cups of Masala Chai before winding up the
very informative visit.
