This year, NASW-MD will devote the
first day of our two day conference
to forensic social work.The keynote
speaker will be The Honorable Judge
Callahan, Associate Circuit Court
Judge of Montgomery County. This
will be followed by 10
workshops/panels throughout the
day (6 CEUs).
Friday’s conference will begin with a
keynote address by Dominic Carter,
television journalist and author, and
will be followed by a fantastic lineup
of 13 workshops (6.5 CEUs) which
delve into issues relevant to all
social workers.
Friday's luncheon will feature the
annual awards ceremony
presentation.

Hotel Information
Hotel Room Reservation Information: Please note that a block of 15 guest
rooms are being held for attendees wishing to stay at the Conference Center.
Rooms are available Wednesday, March 25 and Thursday March 26. The single
occupancy rate is $135 per night. Rate includes dinner and breakfast for each
night of lodging (no rebate for missed meals). The rates also include
complimentary use of the Center’s recreational facilities including the indoor
pool, fitness center and game room; parking and shuttle service to and from
BWI-Marshall Airport and Amtrak Station; and complimentary local and toll-
free telephone calls up to 30 minutes in length. Please contact the Maritime
Center at 410-859-5700 for more information.
PLEASE NOTE:
PLEASE NOTE REFUND POLICIES: cancellations must be made at least one
week in advance and there will be a $20 administrative processing fee per
cancellation.
NASW-MD is not responsible for refunds if registrants do not attend a program
and do immediately follow-up for refund information or to switch another
course; if registrants do not immediately follow-up on absence, no
refund/switch is allowed.
Please not that continuing education credits are granted based on participation,
NOT on payment. All workshop participants arriving late will receive a reduction
in credit units granted.
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY: In the event of inclement weather please call 1-
800-867-6776 ext 11, for information or cancellation. In general, if schools are
2 hours late or closed in the area where the event is to take place, the event
will be rescheduled. Please notify the chapter office if a refund is preferred.
NASW-MD reserves the right to cancel workshops due to poor registration
NOTE ON ACCOMODATIONS: If you require special accommodations to permit
your attendance or participation, please provide a written request along with
completed registration form and conference payment at least 30 days prior to
the registration deadline for the workshop or conference. Requests received
after this deadline may not be received in time to process and be fulfilled in
time for the activity.
