  2. 2. <ul><li>Bharti Foundation </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Bharti Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Bharti Group Companies. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>The Foundation aims to help underprivileged children and young people of our country realize their potential. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Satya Bharti School Program </li></ul><ul><ul><li>The Satya Bharti School Program is the flagship program of Bharti Foundation. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>It aims to deliver free quality education to underprivileged children, with special focus on the girl child across rural India. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>The program goal is to establish 500 Primary and 50 Senior Schools reaching out to over 200,000 students </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>The promise of this large scale program, through its operation, is to create a replicable, scalable and holistic model of quality education in rural India </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Present Operational Status: </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Number of Schools Operational: 236 </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>States of Operation: Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh & Tamil Nadu </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Number of Students Enrolled: Over 30,000 </li></ul></ul></ul>Introduction
  3. 3. <ul><li>Geographical Location: </li></ul><ul><li>Kolila is situated very near to National High Way No.8 (Delhi – Jaipur High Way). </li></ul><ul><li>The village have Govt. secondary School, two private schools & Govt. Upper Primary Girls Schools . </li></ul><ul><li>Government Primary Health Centre in village it self. </li></ul><ul><li>Post office is situated in village it self. </li></ul><ul><li>The nearest Police station is Neemrana ,which is approx. 8 km form the village. </li></ul><ul><li>The nearest market is Neemrana which is approx. 8 km form the village. </li></ul><ul><li>Drinking water facility provided by government and constructed water supply tank, apart from this Hand pumps and bore wells are other source of water. </li></ul><ul><li>The main occupation of villagers are agriculture, working in Private Factories & Govt jobs but majority of people are working in Indian Army. </li></ul><ul><li>The village approach road is connecting with NH 8. </li></ul><ul><li>The village is very near to Japanese Zone and Indian Export Promotion Zone of RICCO. </li></ul>About the Community
  4. 4. <ul><ul><li>Cultural Background </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Majority of the population belongs to Hindu community and very few are from the Muslim Community. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Dominant cast in village is Rajuput. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>The villagers followed the all Hindu & Muslim rituals and festivals. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>The dressing style of community is long white Kurta & Dhoti / Pant & Shirt, for men and women dressing style is Ghagra & Odhni. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>It’s a mix culture of Rajasthan & Hariyana as Hariyana border is very close to this location. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>They are the followers of all Hindu God & Goddess & Muslims are followers of Kuran sharif. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>It is Men dominant community and they are the main decision makers. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Prevalence of Dowry is very high in the village. </li></ul></ul>About the Community
  5. 5. <ul><li>Alcohol and other drugs are acting as a destroying catalyst for our society. </li></ul>We ‘Felt’: <ul><li>It not only hampers badly to our health, but also to our inter personal relationships and society as a whole. </li></ul><ul><li>Despite of the eye-opening news like ‘DEATH DUE TO POISONED ALCOHOL’ coming from various parts of our country, the rural villagers are taking alcohols and other drugs. </li></ul><ul><li>Ignorance or avoidance may be the cause, but the females and other family persons suffer most due to the alcoholics </li></ul>
  6. 6. <ul><li>An alcohol free society. </li></ul>We ‘Imagined’ <ul><li>Our village with zero drugs, alcohol and other problems like domestic violence resulted due to these ‘NASHA’. </li></ul><ul><li>Peaceful home and peaceful nation </li></ul>
  7. 7. <ul><li>Organised a meeting with community people to make them understand about the initiative of Satya Bharti School. </li></ul>We ‘Did’: <ul><li>Organised the rally against the identified issue. </li></ul><ul><li>Made them aware about pronsequenses of consuming alcohol and other drugs. </li></ul><ul><li>Door to door counselling and discussion with villagers </li></ul><ul><li>Conducted Street play, sang motivational songs, slogans with prepared play cards, poster and banners. </li></ul>
  8. 8. <ul><li>Community people have signed on a common memorandum and participated in an oath ceremony to divorce alcohols and other drugs . </li></ul>Impact on Community: <ul><li>Cooperated their full extent and participated with full spirit to make this event successful. </li></ul>
  9. 9. <ul><li>A great satisfaction to raise voice against one of the biggest social problems of our society. </li></ul><ul><li>Have been motivated to work for the same in future. </li></ul><ul><li>Gained information on rehabilitation measures for the victims. </li></ul>Impact on Us:
  10. 10. <ul><li>Community members: </li></ul><ul><li>- ”Aaj bharat desh, hamare gaon aur apne ko agar age le jana hai to hum ko sharab aur anya nashile drabyyon se dur rahna chahiye.
