1. We select the idea to educate the elderly people and would teach them how to make their own signatures.
2. We felt very sorry when we saw our guardians giving Left Thumb Impression instead of signatures. We being very junior can read and write but some of elders are not in a condition to do so. It hurt us a lot.
3. We took an oath; “ Each one – teach one”. We need to give back something to our people. Our guardians, our elders are doing a lot for us. We also in our turn would help them to read and write.
4.
5. We visited house to house and collected data on the same. We gathered people at common places and even visited their homes to teach them.
6. We have strong faith in our minds that we can bring change in the society. We can do wonders. Until we are united we would grow strength to strength. Our belief our faith turned into our confidence when we saw that elders whom we taught are now doing signatures and not giving LTI. We observed the tears of joy in their eyes. At least 52 elders have learnt to sign their names. We would surely carry out the movement until all of our fellow villagers become literate. Jai Hind.
