2. Our unit was to look at critical approaches to creative media
and for this task our objective was to look at various
qualitative and quantitative research found around the internet
as well as audience profiling, specifically for game related
subjects. For example in quantitative research I found a survey
on what next-gen console people wanted, and on qualitative
research I found an article on what bungie may try to avoid
with their upcoming game at the time Destiny. After looking at
Qualitative and Quantitative research I then looked at audience
profiling. Audience Profiling is when companies research on
what type of people their customers are, this can be found in
way like researching psychographics and demographics, which
are research into what their income and education is like as
well as where they live and their age.
3. Our next task was to find a group within the
class and together make a survey of
qualitative and quantitative questions to do
with Grand Theft Auto V, we did some
Quantitative questions and Qualitative
questions, Quantitative so we could see how
many people liked things to do with GTA V
such as did they find it enjoyable, and
Qualitative so I can get more elaborate
answers such as who was their favourite
protagonist and why.
4. My next task was to create my survey online via surveymonkey
and then advertise it via social media. After a short while I got a
few replies which I could then observe and analyze.
