Guidance Of Philosophy Dallas Shingler FHS 2600 Guidance Philosophy   		Guidance is the ability to help children learn the appropriate behavior. Children need to learn how to behave so the other kids around them will follow their actions. And also behave appropriately.    		In our preschool we provide many activities that keep our children interested and engaged, thus preventing most behavior problems. When problems occur we provide alternatives that help the children to learn from their behavior. At this age redirection is the most common thing we use. 		Developing self-control is the goal of guidance. So we want the child to learn from every experience. We need to focus on the long term effects.
Licensing Assignment Dallas Shingler Licensing Assignment A day 		That there are too many rules to memorize and learn.  The rules did not surprise me; the only thing that surprised me was how many there are.  I would definitely not add any rules they covered all of them. And I wouldn’t take any of them away. I would not eliminate any rules because they all are needed.   And no rules were to lenient or too strict.
Lesson Plan Dallas Shingler 4-5 Science  Chocolate Covered Pretzels Understanding that heat can change solids to liquids and  then back to a solid when it cools So they know substances can change properties
Indoors, Table, Microwave Chocolate chips, Pretzels, Microwaveable, food coloring, Container, Rubber Spatula, Foil, Popsicle sticks  Pour half the bag of chocolate chips into the container, ask them how long  to put it in the microwave for, then take it out and ask if its melted yet, if not, keep asking them for   how much longer then check. Do this till chocolate is melted. (takes about 40 sec) Ask how many drops you should  put in to make pink. (2-7 drops) Stir till all the food coloring is blended in. Then give each child about 5 pretzels and  drizzle the chocolate over the pretzels. Give each of them a stick and tell them to spread the pretzels around. Let dry. Then eat!!! With older kids you can have them stir, drizzle, put the chocolate in  the microwave, let them work the microwave.
