2. Who will the App help?
Anyone who travels (around 16+)
What is the situation behind the problem ?
People that may get lost finding locations on holiday or want
to see what’s on offer in different areas.
When does the problem occur?
Everyday but a larger increase in holiday seasons.
Where does the problem occur?
In other countries or even in different regions of the same
country.
Why does the problem occur?
Some people are new to visiting a country and don’t know the
area.
Some people may not know what landmarks there is in the
country.
Background Situation
3. Many people travel to different countries though they
don’t know the area and need help getting there.
When they do not know about the landmarks and the
history behind it..
Also finds reservations they may like to take and the best
hotel to check in to.
And gives them detailed descriptions about shops,
landmarks, restaurants and outdoor areas they could visit.
Problem
4. The key question our team is trying to answer is:
“How can people find their way around
a different country?”
Key Question
5. Following the Scoping phase; Our key findings are the
following:
Many people get lost whilst on holiday or in
different areas.
Our app is easier to access so that you can find the
destination you want on holiday easily.
Our app suggests landmarks and places to see also
can be used without internet.
Key insight statements
6. “Our team, The Reemsters, is developing a mobile app
to help people find the destinations they want to go to
on holiday and offers travellers different places to
visit whilst in that area.”
Mini Elevator Pitch
7. After analysing the results of the surveys we sent out
to potential users, we found the following:
35% of people face problems whilst travelling.
65% of people need help whilst they are travelling to
another country.
70% of people would recommend this app to their
friends as they think it would help other if they to a
different country.
80% of people said the app is useful and would help
them when they travel to a different country.
User Profiles- What we found out about
our users
8. Having conducted some research into the current app
market, we found the following were our main competitors:
Google Maps app
MapFactor
However, these apps do not fully solve the problem for
people travelling as they do not suggest how to get to
places by walk or car. Also if the people do not know
anything about the places and they want to know more, they
won’t be able to know the history behind the landmarks.
Also if the people don’t know much about the countries top
ranked places they may want to know and our app will do
exactly that.
Competitors and alternative solutions
9. A travellers view point:
“I think this app is extremely helpful as not only do
you find the destination that you want to reach, you
find out the countries history and see the landmarks
which the historic things happen at. Also you could
find a lot of top ranked places. This all helps me as I
love travelling and I would love to find out so much
more about the country then just take pictures of
landmarks which I don’t know about.”

16. Data:
The data that is required for this app is the sound/audio files
which will be stored.
These sound/audio files will be played when the user starts
the app.
We will not need authorisation from anyone to use the data as
we will be recording our own audio files.
Technical Feasibility:
Our solution is technically possible to build because it does
not require functions that do not exist on mobiles.
A professional developer would be able to build our solution in
less than 3 months.
We simplified our App idea by moving away from automatic
music to simple sound files organised in a specific way.
Data and Technical Feasibility
17. Business case hypothesis:
“We think that people who regularly go on holiday
will fund our app “Reemsters.”
Business model choice:
Statement: My team’s app, ‘Holiday Navigatior’ will operate on
a business model in which all users pay.
Justification: My team, ‘Reemsters’ has identified that
travellers are willing to pay £1.00 towards the ‘Holiday
Navigator’ app.

Marketing Strategy
19. We also managed to present our idea at our school to
see what the students and teacher thought about our
idea.
The feedback we received was very positive and some
teachers even said that they would download the App
once it is created.
