2. Initial inspiration
Throughout various classes taken at JWU we noticed that regardless of what
technological devices people brought to class they were still using a paper
planner to record assignments.
3. Hypothesis
There is a relationship between students using analog options to record
their schedules and their ability to trust in existing technologies designed
for scheduling.
4. Potential Opportunity
opportunity for an outside company to create an online organizer or calendar
application that is tailored to the needs of students at Johnson and Wales. By
creating this calendar and becoming affiliated with Johnson and Wales, this
company has the potential to expand their client base, start new relationships
with users and fulfill a need.

Full time JWU day students ( Providence Campus)
Continuing Education taking at least 2 night classes
6. Method of Communication
Distributed our Qualtrics.com survey through email, Facebook, Twitter, and
distributing printed copies at night students

15. Results and recommendations
Our hypothesis is correct
It would not be beneficial to create a digital calendar as students would still
use their analog ones.
Since a majority of respondents to the survey were upperclassmen in the
college of business we may want to repeat study on lower classmen only to
determine if the upcoming classes have the same attitudes
Perform the survey in schools beyond college of business to see if there are
differences.
Create a line of agendas ( or add to existing line) to sell in the bookstore.
