About the win <ul><li>Obama is the democratic candidate, and he was against John McCain. He had 52.75% of the votes. He was the first ever black president, he is the first democratic president, and is now the most powerful man in the world, some people say that he is too young and inexperienced to become the president but has been voted in. </li></ul>
Black History <ul><li>Several migration waves to the Americas, as well as relocations within the Americas, have brought people of African descent to North America. According to the Schaumburg Centre for Research in Black Culture, the first African populations came to North America in the 16th century via Mexico and the Caribbean to the Spanish colonies of Florida, Texas and other parts of the South. 1.7 million people in the United States are descended from voluntary immigrants from sub-Saharan Africa. African immigrants represent 6 percent of all immigrants to the United States and almost 5 percent of the African American community nationwide. </li></ul>
Why its important to vote <ul><li>I think its important to vote in the election because you need to get your view across. Many people don’t vote because they think there's millions of people voting and theirs wont make a difference, but every vote counts. </li></ul>
