2. Video VH1 We have discovered that the age group that VH1 caters for is 25 – 44. This age is too old for our target audience which is aged between 16 and 21. Viva This channel plays music videos and also other entertainment programmes. Viva plays very up to date mainstream music, and also a range on genres. As they show a range of genres our video will fit in well, and will hopefully be seen by a wide audience. 4Music This is has been created by channel 4. Its very similar to Viva in the way that they both show the most up to date music/ videos and also have entertainment programmes. Also our video will be well suited and hopefully be seen but I widen audience, like on Viva Smash Hits This channel also used the same format as Viva and 4Music
3. NME This channel mainly focuses on indie/ indie rock music, which suits our videos the most as they mainly show indies music. And this is our target audience. NME Rocks This is MTV’s specialist rock channel, which shows bands like Artic monkeys, U2 and Stereophonics NME Hits This is MTV’s channel for all genres, as well as charts and the newest songs like Viva and 4Music which is a good channel for our video as there will be a lager audience watching this channel.
4. Magazine NME The NME magazine is the same genre as the music channel, which we have decided that will fit our album well as the magazine is mainly bought by people how are into indie music. Q This magazine is mainly about rock music, but is slowly becoming more mainstream. Clash This magazine features a range of artists from Coldplay to Jay-z. We feel that is magazine would be able to suit our promotion of the album, as a range of people interested in a area of music flicking through
