1. SURFING
Surfing is a water sport in which athletes ride breaking waves into shore on a piece
of specialized equipment called a surfboard.
As you know, in Salamanca there arenβt beaches so we canβt do the entire warm up
but we can practice equilibrium in the bog with another kind of surfing.
Some exercises to practice this sport are:
1- -Back squats.
2- Press up.
3- Crunches.
4- We can practice equilibrium with a semicircle invented for training in these
types of sports or with a piece of wood on a tube.
5- Skipping
6- Working flexibility with exercises like this: (Photos)
7- Running in the sand or in the street. You may run several kilometers per day.
8- Contain your breath a little bit per day, without forcing our lungs. In this way
we can improve our level of lung capacity and if we fall down inside a wave
we can hold our breath well.
9- 2 or 3 times a week we must go to the sea but in Salamanca there isnβt a
beach, only a river but this is enough. There we can practice our equilibrium
and strength with a sport called Stand Up Paddle Surf. In this sport you are
on a surfboard, bigger than the ordinary surfboard, and you have an oar, so
you go rowing.
