Crops are herbicide & pest resistance. 4. Genetic engineering also provides industrial improvement of enzymes used in fermentation of bread, wine, beer, or cheese or for specialized production steps in drug development & synthesis.
4. DISADVANTAGES 1.Potential allergic reaction to proteins that have been spliced in. 2.General apprehension from uneducated public. 3.Changes in market values of certain products due to surplus.

They are used in biological and medical research, production of pharmaceutical drugs, experimental medicine, and agriculture. 2.GMO technology is patent-protected food crops to which are resistant to commercial herbicides or are able to produce pesticidal proteins from w/in the plant, or stacked trait seeds, which do both.
