3. Mean Temperatures
City Temperatures Mean
Wellington 61˚,63˚,61˚,50˚,59˚ About 59˚
Helsinki 28˚,34˚,28˚,25˚,18˚ About 26˚
To calculate the mean, first I added all of the numbers up. Then
I divided that number by 5 because there are five numbers. This
then gave me the mean.

5. My Explanation
First I looked at the temperature for each city every day for five days and recorded it. I
did this research on the computer. For Wellington, the data was 61˚,63˚,61˚,50˚ and
59˚. For Helsinki it was 28˚,34˚,28˚,25˚ and 18˚. Then I made a double line graph for
the data. Next I found the mean by adding up the temperatures for each city and then
dividing that number by five. The mean for Wellington was about 59˚ and Helsinki’s
mean was about 26˚. After this I listed what I would pack to go to the cities during this
time of year. This is how I completed the project!
