2. This might mean that theorists could chose which cases to share with others/ publish. This could involve not writing up clinical case studies that do not support their idea.

However by using real life examples this can provide credibility with other psychologists.In terms of generalisability , the clinical case study is an indepth analysis of a specific case , detailed information is gathered that can be examined by others later so it could be good for training or for others to examine the conclusions drawn from the case study. However what it cannot show is evidence that the reasons identified for one case can be generalised to others.<br />Sometimes the recoding of the case studies is not always thorough and it cannot be clear how the conclusions were reached in that study.<br />
