A little bit about CSR of BERNAS

1. RESPONSIBILITIES (CSR)
BERNAS WITH
COMMUNITY
“Program Rakan Ladang” (PRL)
The first CSR that BERNAS do for the community is
Reaching Out to The Farming Community through Program
Rakan Ladang (PRL).
 PRL has incorporated socially responsibilities investment
measures such as environmental protection, responsible
farm practices and development of Good Agriculture
Practice (GAP) techniques for farmers.
Through coordinated effort, PRL helps to improve
farmers’ income by promoting efficiency in the supply
chain, productivity and harvest quality.
For now, a total of 48,000 farmers have benefited from
the PRL programme nationwide.

2. “ Program Skor A “
BERNAS also make a cooperation with Berita Harian
to organize the established “Program Skor A” for 500
children of the farmers preparing for primary and
secondary major examinations.
The 4-day workshop was designed to coach the
children using special techniques and guide them to
be confident and ‘exam ready’.
Besides, BERNAS also make their investment in
Public Services, Higher Education and Community
Development.
 Apart from tuition provision and educational camps
for the farmer’s children, BERNAS also contributes
towards the development of a knowledge-based
economy via Albukhary International University, a
privileged pursuing tertiary education.

3. COMPANY PLAN FOR FUTURE CSR
PROGRAMME
 Still maintain the programme that their do now.
= CSR for the community, CSR for humanity and CSR for
environment. They have a lot of programmes that they do
such as Program Rakan Ladang(PRL), ‘Skor A’ with
cooperation with Berita Harian, make a many of Bubur
Lambuk and then give to society, send two person of
farmers go to Umrah and Haj at Mekah and BERNAS
make cooperation with Jabatan Pertahanan Awam
Malaysia(JPAM) for the flood victim especially peninsular
Malaysia when comes the monsoon at the end of the year.
 They future planning is to help the victims of flood
for the upcoming monsoon for this November and
December it is the end of the year.
 Make a programme for the farms children to
participate the tuition that they make to help the
farms children to score at exam that they take it.
