Case info:
 Project is related to business: financial data marts. Business requires 1.8 billion of table
records need to be distributed into account tables in 6 hours, including calculation.
 Plan project schedule, provide project proposal and estimate new system sizing and plan
system landscape and setup system infrastructure
 Implementation of system upgrade (ECC 6.00 ->ECC6.07) and system migration (ECC6.07
on DB2 ->HDB).
 Setup system landscape (DEV, QAS, and PRD) on HANA DB.
 Supporting System Integration Test and User Acceptance Test as SAP basis and DBA ( for
example: troubleshooting issue of DB recovery, adjust parameter for overflow of lock table,
advise to activate old indexes for improving performance).

 Planning migration schedule(including twice technical rehearsal, end-user testing for
verification)
 Implementing migration of HANA DB by SAPINST.
 Implementing table distribution for BW on HANA.
 As SAP basis and HANA DBA, responsible for trouble shooting for end-user verification.

Case 1 (2106 Jul): Plan Big data infrastructure for HUAWEI.
Company: HUAWEI Research & Development.
Case info:
 Leverage SAP big data solution to monitor chip-package processing and build BI
report System, reuse existing HUAWEI Hadoop system.
 Design landscape and infrastructure of SAP big data, including realizing connecting
between HANA DB and Hadoop via HANA vora, handling machine data by SAP product:

frontend by SAP BO component and HANA XDA.

Supported cases:
Case 1 (2013 Nov): Help customer to recover HANA Database
Company: Lockheed Martin (USA)
Case info: Due to fault of OS upgrade, HANA file system was corrupted. Because of customer ‘s
company policy, I supported the case for SAP American office. Main tasks are estimating the time of
reinstallation and data recovery, planning how many of days we spend for transferring table from
ERP system to HANA DB and open database to end-user. After one weekend, the task was finished.
There is no impact for customer to start business on Monday.
Case 2 (2013.Oct): Onsite support for migration of BPC system
Company: EMC (USA)
Case info: BPC system is first SAP system based on HANA for EMC, so it is very important for both
EMC and SAP, and this will help to build good relationship between SAP and EMC for long term.
So we planned whole schedule carefully, work hardly for the case. Eventually this migration was
finished within one night. I was support the case as onsite consultant.
Case 3 (2010.Jul): Business was stopped due to memory error.
Company: Lufthansa City Line GmbH (Germany)
Case info: Incorrect parameter setting caused bad system performance so that all business
transactions were stopped. With Troubleshooting, I identified the memory problem and advised
appropriated value of parameter to customer.
