2. Wargaming
The company was founded in 1998 in Minsk, Belarus.
It’s been making games for 20 years now.
The company has one of the most 3 played games in the
world on different platforms such as PC, PlayStation, XBoX
and mobile phones.
The games are; World Of Tanks, World of Warships and
World of Warplanes.
3. Why wargaming?
Well we chose wargaming because they have a very good CSR.
They help kids that are located in countries where there is war.
They raise funds to help US vets.
They raise funds to restore iconic vehicles from the old wars
4. Wargaming first step effort was to help adult victims of war dates back to 2012, in
which coincided with the companys expansion into North America, the company
there approached top veterans organizations and rolled a charity program.
Wargaming took partnership with the UK based non govt organizations called
“War Child” which helps children in war zones. Where for every 1 US Dollar – war
child received 14 US Dollars in donations. The collab proved benefical and War
Child invited Wargaming to join Armistice Campaign, which was successful as well.
They raised the funds from in-game packaged that were bought by people on
different platforms, they took 25% of the bought packages and donated that.
5. The May charity program which involved the vets became a tradition for
Wargaming, so they roll it every year now ( 4 years in a row )
Inspired by the results, they held a range of similar fundraising campaigns for other US
and Canadian charity organizations, such as Homes for Our Troops, Paralyzed Veterans
of America, and the Military Families Fund.
6. Homes For Our troops, donates special custom made homes nationwide for the
vets that were injured badly after 9/11 incident.
This operations is for “Wounded Warriors of Canada, handicapped vets, post
traumatic disorders, disabled vets of US and the ones who got mental problems.
7. Fundraise to preserve history
The company hopes that by helping all these organizations, the contribution to making
it possible for war victims to return to civilian life in all its aspects.
As true history fans, alongside projects supporting veteran organizations they
embarked on an array of campaigns aimed at preserving history. While they provided
multifaceted assistance in restoring legendary war vehicles in the CIS region, they gave
direct financial support to North America history museums.
In pursuing this ambition, they approached several museums and helped raise
money to help save Battleship Texas and repair the above-mentioned USSArizona
memorial wall.
