which operates almost all over the world.
• They produce, one of best carbonated drinks in the
world.
• Pepsi is a symbol of hygiene, quality and service, all
over the world.
• Pepsi is producing Cola for more than 100 years
and it has dominated the world market for a long
time.

Beverage Ltd, he is looking after their
Pepsi plants in Karachi, Hyderabad,
and Quetta along-with their Mineral
Water, Juice and Dairy products plants
that make a total of 6 plants and more
than 5, 000 employees, employed
directly.

FACTS ABOUT THE COMPANY
1. Pepsi is a USA based public company whose stocks are
available in New York.
2. Mountain Dew, acquired by Pepsi-Cola in 1964, switches its
advertising and package graphics room hillbillies to action-
oriented scenes.
3. PepsiCo acquired Pizza Hut, Inc. Pizza Hut was founded in
1958 by Dan and Frank Carney.
4. Taco Bell is was acquired by Pepsi. Taco Bell was established
in the mid-1960s by Glen Bell.
5. PepsiCo purchased Kentucky Fried Chicken, the leader in the
quick service chicken market. KFC was founded by Colonel
Harland Sanders..
6. PepsiCo purchases Seven-Up International, the third largest
franchise soft drink operation outside the United States.
PEPSI IN PAKISTAN
 The market in Pakistan is surely dominated by Pepsi.
 Pepsi is recognized as Pakistanis National drink.
 In 1971, first plant of Pepsi was constructed in Multan,
and from their after Pepsi is going higher and higher.
 It is consumed by all age groups because of its
distinctive taste. Compared with other Cola in the
market, it is a bit sweeter and it contributes greatly to its
liking by all.
Pepsi is operating in Pakistan, through its 12 bottlers
all over Pakistan. These bottlers are Pepsi's strength.
It faced fierce competition with 7up, which was
established during 1968, in Multan. Pepsi introduced
its lemon and lime, "Teem" to compete with 7up
The company was initially owned by late Nawab
Saddiq Hussain Qureshi & family till 1989.
The factory set up was reorganized & reestablished
with expansion in various sectors. The Pepsi
International did this by offering it to Mr. Jehangir

BEVERAGE CONSUMPTION IN PAKISTAN
Beverage industry is one of the emerging and fast growing
sector in Pakistan. Different reports have shown that there
is a significant contribution by beverage industry. Beverage
industry in Pakistan is a combination of different sectors
such as:
 Fizzy drinks
 Juices
 Milk based drinks
 Energy and sports drinks
 Tea
 Coffee
 Bottled and bulk water

JOB ANALYSIS PROCESS IN PEPSICO
 PBL HR Department checks its own job description and
job analysis in which they get the information about
employees work activities, human behavior, performance
standard job context and human requirements and also
other information related to conduct this.
 HR Department of PBL used this information for
recruiting, selection, compensation ,performance appraisal,
training and employees relationship.
METHODS USED FOR JOB ANALYSIS
HOW JOB DESCRIPTIONS ARE USEFUL
FOR RECRUITMENT
 To design job description they have very serious
attitude.
 They mention all the working areas and phenomenon
according to job requirements like education,
experience, gender etc.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
Training is going on formally or informally throughout
the year. According to them, it’s not a one day session.
OJT (On Job Training):
A one day training session is not enough. When they hire people
they train them with machinery etc. It’s a continuous process
because new technologies new systems and new requirement are
surfacing every day. When they implemented SAP they didn't tell
their employees that since they can't use the technology they have
to go instead they trained them to use the new team technology.
RETENTION
The Turn over rate in Pepsi Co is below 1%. The secret of this based
on numerous factors such as:
 Direct Access To MD.
 Salaries On Time.
 Interest Free Loan.
 Medical.
 Eid Bonus.
 Year-end Bonus.
 Unveiled Leaves Bonus.
PROBLEMS IN RECRUITMENT
 Internal and external factors always effect the
recruitment process.
 Good Economy is the main factor.
 Everybody is employed.
 Difficulty in finding the best candidate.

Group General Manager HR • Sultan Mughal is the Group General Manager HR at Pakistan Beverage Ltd, he is looking after their Pepsi plants in Karachi, Hyderabad, and Quetta along-with their Mineral Water, Juice and Dairy products plants that make a total of 6 plants and more than 5, 000 employees, employed directly.

PepsiCo purchased Kentucky Fried Chicken, the leader in the quick service chicken market. KFC was founded by Colonel Harland Sanders.. 6. PepsiCo purchases Seven-Up International, the third largest franchise soft drink operation outside the United States.

OJT (On Job Training): A one day training session is not enough. When they hire people they train them with machinery etc. It’s a continuous process because new technologies new systems and new requirement are surfacing every day. When they implemented SAP they didn't tell their employees that since they can't use the technology they have to go instead they trained them to use the new team technology.
