How does culture affects self-directed team ?
 Team members will not think and act accordingly unless they
have a clear vision and understanding of ‘Corporate Values’
and ‘Behavior ’
 Organization culture involves the collective behavior of its
team members , and it is collective human behavior that
creates and implements every element of success.
 Excellence requires nothing less than you being a role model
and provide a source of guidance by subscribing to your
corporate values and behavior
UNDERSTANDING CORPORATE VALUES
Definition
Corporate values are the rules or guidelines by which a
corporation exhorts its members to behavior consistent with its
order and growth.
• Values are shared beliefs about what matters most in
the business
• Values make us what we are as a company
• Values determine how you want to be seen by the
customers
• Values provide a measure of how the one self behave

integrated with and supported by the culture of an organization.
It is the balance attention to organizational culture as well as
corporate objectives which drive long-term success.

* Leaders and team members tend to be arrogant, behaving as if they have
all the answer.
* Narrow-minded - look at him/her work more highly than others or other
teams
* Thinking and action are too complacent. This develop blink spots
2. Adaptive Culture
* The customer’s needs and expectations are respected
* Doing the basic things effectively
* Lead change
* Leaders liberates talents and abilities

in self directed teams. Please explain the outcome of the application of
these values ?
3. For each value quote a person who has consistently demonstrated the
above values ?
