2.  To celebrate Chanukah in 2014, Camp
Nageela Midwest held a number of
events through which campers could
reunite. It began with a family game
show, which has become a yearly Camp
Nageela Chanukah tradition. Campers
met at a hotel to compete in dreidel
and enjoy treats and goody bags. More
than 100 people attended, including the
students of J-FIX Hebrew School.

3.  On the same day, Nageela’s staff partook in
Big Sister Menorah Making, where warm food
and drinks combined with a warm reception
from camp alumni created a memorable day
for over 50 girls. The participants made
menorahs to prepare for Chanukah with the
help of a number of volunteers. Finally,
Nageela Big Brothers put on the Hanukice!
program, which brought Nageela staff and
campers together to enjoy food and ice-
skating as well as a game of ice hockey.
Overall, the three events made for a joyful start
to Chanukah for Nageela, its staff, and its
community.
