2. History of Stadium Goods
• Sneaker culture has become mainstream in many countries and is loved by many people. Especially in the
United States, most people regard shoes as a part of their life and a way of making money. In the Greater
New York Area, East Coast, Northeaster US, there is a sport shoe store here, which is called Stadium
Goods. It was a private company founded by Jed Stiller, John McPheters in 2015. According to smart
(2007) said, Sports constitute a unique form of global culture through iconic figures such as world
celebrities and sports stars. In addition, global consumer culture is largely spread through broadcasting,
media sponsorship and some sports events. When I was a high school student, I was almost 18 at that
time. I started playing with sneakers and loved all kinds of sneakers. But I didn't have enough money to
own them. For example, at that time, the Air Jordan 1 was the most desirable pair of shoes for me.
However, due to the family condition, my desire was not satisfied. When I was about to graduate from
senior three, I got my first pair of Jordan through working. After studying abroad, I heard about many
sneaker brands companies. The stadium Goods impressed me the most. Because you can buy all kinds of
sneakers from it, even out-of-print sneakers. In addition, their company made a program and invited many
stars to talk about sneakers and their stories. This is one of the reasons why I chose to introduce this
company.

• STADIUM GOODS is an online retailer specializing in high-end soccer shoes in the United States. It is
known for its consignment of soccer shoes, which are mainly sold under adidas, NIKE, Air Jordan
and other brands and contain many limited styles. Merchants can use dual-currency CARDS with
channels such as VISA, MasterCard and PayPal and Amazon Payment to pay. In addition, the
company collects a wide variety of sneakers, mostly at full price, or from Nike and adidas. However,
they won't sell the shoes at their original price because they won't make any money. Therefore,
they can provide a platform for the seller, they can fix a price by themselves, if the buyer is
satisfied, the company will help them harvest and deliver the service all over the world. But one
wonders, how do you make a lot of money out of it? More specifically, as the largest sneaker
company in the United States, they hardly worry about running out of sneaker. Therefore, most of
them purchase the sneaker with the original and sell it at a high price (Geoghegan, 2018). The
following two pictures show the shoes of two different brands sold by stadium goods. In the first
picture, two pairs of shoes were released in the summer of 2017, which were the shoes cooperated
by off-white manager and Nike. The selling price of the two shoes was only 190 euros. Because off-
white is a high street brand in the fashion world, and its chief executive virgilabloh became a
designer for Louis vuitton in 2017, he has a very high status. At the same time, the combination of
his design source and his own brand with Nike makes this pair of popular sneakers. It shows that
how stadium goods used the shoe culture and people's love of sneakers to make money. Stadium
Goods is typically sold online, in partnership with retailers such as amazon, eBay and alibaba,with
sales totaling $100 million a year.

• This report mainly introduces the history of
stadium Goods, the company, products,
revenue and why I choose to introduce this
company. Nowadays, sneakers are not only a
nostalgia for the past, but also a means of
making money for many people.
