Global Screening Event: An invitation of partnership and collaboration for One Day On Earth Featured Film in Yogjakarta, Indonesia.

2. Brief History
Kyle Ruddick, 32 and Brandon Litman, 30, are the
forces behind One Day on Earth.org, an effort to use
the Internet to amass footage from across the globe
and turn it into a free online archive and feature-length
film. And it is a film that is backed by 60 non-profit
organizations including the United Nations, Red Cross
and Oxfam.
Founded in 2008, One Day on Earth's first media
creation event occurred on 10.10.10. The

collaboration was the first ever simultaneous filming
event occurring in every country of the world
showcasing the amazing diversity, conflict, tragedy,
and triumph that occurs in one day made by
thousands of filmmakers, hundreds of schools, and
dozens of non-profit organizations.
One Day on Earth communities not only watches, but
participates through this crowd-source manner to
record the human experience over a 24-hour period
and contribute their voice.

So far they have the footage, captured by volunteers
during the 24 hours of Oct. 10, 2010, and the archive
is up and running.
Global Screening of One Day On Earth will be
featuring this footage simultaneously on Earth Day,
April 22nd, 2012 in 188 participating countries around
the world.
The future film itself? Plans for distribution will be
announced this fall, they hope.

3. Who We Are
Wisdom Traveler is One Day On
Earth community in Indonesia and
was invited by the organization to
be the host for this event because
in the film there are three different
footages about Indonesia made by
three Indonesian Filmmakers.
We s e e t h i s c re a t i o n o f
interconnected humanity as a
cultural movement which not only
about message of hope but also
contains a spirit of stories sharing
with a call-to-action to all of us as
world citizen, what we need to
address on important issues and
together solve some of the problem
in front of us.
And this year, on Earth Day 22 April,
2012, we are inviting you to watch a
truly global film experience which
happened on 10.10.10 and where the
stars are everyone on Earth.
After this event, we planned to take this
film on the road to various cities
around the country and spread the
wisdom beyond Earth Day

4. Invitation"
For Partnership
As much as we want to make this event available and to share the wisdom
to a wider audience, the resources at hands is limited. We therefore, opted
for a viewing within a more controlled environment and attendance.
Aiming still to realizing the story to the mass we are offering partnership
opportunities with both non-profit organizations and corporations. We feel
through their networks of media, may it be printed or digital we will be able
to make the news of this event to reach more people and use the story as a
unique dialog tools representing these organizations point of views and
interests to their respective audience.
We believe the nature of the event being simultaneously screened across
the globe and what the film is all about, both will provide a high news value

6. The Venue
The Global Screening held on Earth Day April
22nd, 2012 also to fall during the celebration of
100th Year of the late Yogyakarta Sultan
Hamengkubowono IX. These celebrations in
the form of an Art Festival will run from April 13
– April 27, 2012 in the Yogja National Museum.
Wanting to bring the spirit of One Day On Earth
as an addition to these festivities, KPH Nieko
Wironegoro which is the husband of GKR
Pembayun (the eldest daughter of Hamengku
Buwono X), The Sultan of Yogyakarta, he has
offered us the opportunity to held the Global
Screening in his city.
As such the event will take place at one of the
historical building, Ndalem Wironegaran which
is also the residence KPH Nieko Wironegoro.
The attendance list will consist of his networks
as well as Wisdom Traveler community.
