Code of Ethics
Employees
Aside from abiding by all applicable laws, Patton-Fuller Community Hospital has now
developed a code of ethics that every employee is expected to follow. In addition, if there are
ever any questions about a rule, ethical standard, or especially if there is an ethical situation that
you are dealing with and need help know what to do, employees should know and feel
comfortable to approach the ethics committee manager and ask any questions that they feel will
help out said situation.
Vision and Values
Here at Patton-Fuller Community Hospital we must dedicate and provide 24 hours a day,
7 days a week, and 365 days a year of care to the community of Patton-Fuller. Our indefinite
goal is to provide the very best care possible, specifically tailored to each patient’s needs, and at
a lower price than the big name hospitals. We will treat our patients and employees with the
utmost respect and gratitude for have picked us.
Code of conduct
This is how we will reinforce our code of ethics. If patient care quality is ever
jeopardized in any way, it will be documented and sent for review by the department manager as
long as the issue is not too severe; in that case it will be sent directly to the Hospital
Administrator for review. Depending on the infraction and its severity, there is a verbal warning,
then a written warning, a written notice of infraction, and finally, if these are all the same
problem happening over again, a third written notice of infraction is issued, which might result in
termination and removal from the facility. These steps go for all rules and ethical codes that
might be broken or ignored.
