Elephant’s tusks are used to make
medicine.
Tusks are used to dig for water, salt
and roots to eat.
When fighting the tusks are used to
attack, defend and protect it’s trunk.
Just like humans are left or right
handed, elephants are left or right
tusked.

Elephants are herbivores which means
that they don’t eat other animals.
Elephants eat
leaves, twigs, bamboo, bark, roots, fruit,
seeds and flowers.
Elephant only digest around 40% of the
food they eat because they have poor
digesting systems.

They like to live in groups and are very family
