2. Overview
● A made-to-order salad restaurant offers
customers a healthy and delicious
alternative to fast food meals.
3. Layout of Restaurant
● Not a formal dining area
● Few tables and chairs for guests, the
product itself is meant to be easy to obtain
and taken on the go
● Ingredients will be place in a ordered line
and customers go down the line to pick and
choose ingredients
● Name of ingredients will be placed on
sneeze guard window
4. How Does it Work?
● Step 1: Customer enters restaurant and is
greeted by server, they can see
predetermined choices for salads or they
can customize their own from scratch.
● Step 2: Server has a mixing bowl that
customer can fill up with whatever they want
as their salad
● Step 3: Customer goes down the line to
choose ingredients and sauces
● Step 4: Salad is packed in plastic container
and customer pays for food
5. Scalability
● Eventually restaurant will offer other
amenities as pre-made salads that can be
bought, as well as parfaits, fruits. And a
soup of the day
6. Results from Customer Feedback
● I spoke to two of my friends to get feedback on my business model for a
build your own salad restaurant.
● The first friend stated that she brings her lunch to school because she
usually enjoys eating a healthier option than burgers and pizza. The salads
that are offered in the stores are pre-made and contains ingredients she
does not like.
● The other friend I spoke to stated that he does not mind eating at some of
the fast food restaurants because they are cheaper and easy to access,
but having more options to choose from when getting lunch is something
he would also love to have. He also frequents the gym so sometimes he
enjoys a healthy alternative.
● Although I only received feedback from two customers, I think that my
prototype can grow into something larger and receive a larger customer
foundation. And from the two feedbacks my venture is going in the right
direction.
