International Carwash Association Hosts 2014 Convention in Chicago

2. Located in Minnesota, Wanner Engineering, Inc.,
provides its clients with innovative high-pressure seal-less
pumps. Wanner Engineering, Inc., belongs to
several professional organizations to stay current with
trends pertaining to its clients. One of these
organizations is the International Carwash Association
(ICA).
Formed in 1955, the ICA was originally called the
Automatic Car Wash Association. Representing more
than 15,000 car washes scattered across almost two
dozen countries, the ICA focuses on the retail and
supply segments of the car wash industry.
3. On March 31 through April 2, 2014, the ICA
hosted the world’s largest car wash convention
in Chicago, Illinois. Known as The Car Wash
Show, this three-day annual event drew more
than 5,600 individuals in 2014. More than 300
exhibitors displayed their products and services
to attendees.
The featured speakers were Robert Herjavec
and Daymond John, both from the television
series Shark Tank. Two ICA professionals were
chosen to present their entrepreneurial ideas
onstage to the two television personalities.
