● Essential to cognitive development.
● Arts as a “Core Academic Subject”.
● Well rounded education leads to:
○ Higher rates of student retention.
○ Higher rates of student success.
○ Higher student test score achievement.

4. Increased Funding.
● California is in the bottom 10 in education
in the Country, and last in Arts education.
Why?
● Increased funding= increase of innovation=
return of investment to the state.
● Arts education funding will increase
utilization of in state talent.
5. Campus Climate.
● 20 Students Surveyed at Crafton Hills
College
● Findings:
○ 80% of Students agreed that their High Schools Art/
Performing Art programs were under funded.
○ Roughly 78% of Students agreed that Arts Education
took part in allowing them to have a well rounded
education.
6. Proposal.
● Reallocation of funds from Prop 30.
● 5% revenue increase per year for the next 5
years to be used for programs that fall
under the art umbrella.
● Adherence to strict guidelines in
determining proper usage of funds.
● Oversight of funds by the appropriate
governmental agency.
7. Looking to The Future.
● Investment in The Arts will lead to:
○ Increased Success, and Retention of Students.
○ A harvest of innovation from California Residents.
○ A progression in rank of the States Educational
quality.
○ Allow for an economic boost in the state.
