I was one of the member of two member team for selection of technology to be adopted for Reserve Bank of India Presses and myself along with a Senior Chief Officer of Reserve Bank of India traveled to European Bank Note Printing establishments in U.K., France, Germany, and Switzerland and studied the technology details and submitted the technical report for the selection of printing machineries for the Reserve Bank of India, New Note Press project. I have also assigned with various official work for attending the Currency Automation Conference held in Monte Carlo in 1993 to make further improvements in the project. I have assisted in the preparation of the working procedures and drastically reduced the Manpower requirement from 4000 to 1100 employees. Has helped to bring down the recurring expenditure of the organization. After the project work was completed I have been to depute to the site at Mysore and assigned the task of Inspection of machineries prior to its dispatch for the Mysore Plant. I was one of the members of the technical delegation and visited Switzerland, Germany and Italy and inspected the machineries and got the defects rectified then and there and arranged to ship the same to India. At Mysore I have been given the task of erection and commissioning of the machineries and asked to perform the Final acceptance test. These things were done with utmost care and all the teething problems were got rectified in the initial stage and machineries were put into regular production. The entire erection and commissioning were done in a shortest period. Thereafter I have been asked to train the personnel for operating the highly sophisticated machineries and I have done it meticulously planning the training programme and even today the plant is working giving the optimum production with quality. Subsequently after the completion of
5 years in Mysore, I have been promoted to the post of Assistant General Manger and posted at Salboni plant in July 2000 and I have shown the improvement both in production and in maintaining the quality of the product. I have visited Germany for printing Rs.500/- Bank Notes for the Indian Government along with the top officials of Reserve Bank of India. I have been assigned the task of approving the Rs.1000/- deno, watermarked paper for the Indian Bank Notes and I visited the Paper Mill in Munich and completed the task to the full satisfaction of all the superiors in Reserve Bank of India. With two OM II Automatic printing machine, few automatic treadle machines and with the hand composing unit the press was started. I have assisted in procurement of Line casting machine from Monotype and increase the productivity to larger extent that has helped to print 13 monthly magazines and other jobs of DAVP and consulates in Delhi. This has resulted increasing the billing to 10 times which has helped to repay the loan availed for procuring the Linotype machine. I have also assigned with various official work for attending the Currency Automation Conference held in Monte Carlo in 1993 to make further improvements in the project. I have assisted in the preparation of the working procedures and drastically reduced the Manpower requirement from 4000 to 1100 employees. Has helped to bring down the recurring expenditure of the organization. After the project work was completed I have been to depute to the site at Mysore and assigned the task of Inspection of machineries prior to its dispatch for the Mysore Plant. I have assisted in procurement of Line casting machine from Monotype and increase the productivity to larger extent that has helped to print 13 monthly magazines and other jobs of DAVP and consulates in Delhi. This has resulted increasing the billing to 10 times which has helped to repay the loan availed for procuring the Linotype machine.   • 13. Education Central Poly Technic, Chennai Diploma in Printing Technology passed in 1966 Chennai, Tamilnadu, INDIA I have passed the Diploma in Printing Technology from Chennai in 1966. I am a basically a printing Technologist having 39 years of Practical experience in the field of Printing. It is also a fact that in the year 1966 there was no degree course in the field of Printing and Degree in Printing was started only from 1985 in India. Hence I could not get an opportunity to do a degree course in Printing. I am sure that you will appreciate my longer period of experience may be equal to a degree in printing. I have attended lot of conferences and Seminars and enriched my knowledge so as to handle any type of situation in an Industry. I was employed with presses in various capacities and at present I have retired as Assistant General Manager from Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran Private Limited, My sore. During my service I was the Head of the Department for Production wing and producing 4500 million Bank notes in a year. Skills I am basically a Printing Technologist. I can handle any type of printing from commercial printing to security of printing of currencies. I have traveled throughout the Europe and USA and traveled abroad on many occasions. I have visited all European countries for the improvement in security features in currencies, exchange of technical experience, attending conferences, selection of technology for the Indian Government, pre-inspection tests prior to dispatch Etc., I have visited Monoco, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, United Kingdom for official work and USA for meeting my family and on holidays. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Family Details: My wife is a Housewife. I have two children and both of them are in USA. Elder is daughter working as Psychiatrist working in Miami, Florida and younger is son working as Assistant Professor in University of Masscheuttesets, Amherst, near Boston.
