This document provides a schedule for Project 2 which focuses on visual communication. It outlines the assignments and due dates, which include brainstorming potential public service announcement topics, designing a draft PSA poster or billboard, recording a screencast explaining the design principles, revising the PSA based on peer feedback, and submitting the final project by Sunday, May 26th at 11:59pm. All assignments are to be completed and posted on the relevant discussion boards or submission boxes by the listed due dates.

PROJECT 2 SCHEDULE
Visual Communication
All work is due by 11:59 p.m. on the day indicated. Late assignments will lose
one letter grade (or the equivalent number of points) per day. All readings and
links are on the BbLearn Project 3 page.

Tuesday, 5/21
1. Read Project 2 Assignment Sheet.
2. Watch the Slidedocs 1, 2, and 3.
3. Brainstorm at least three possible topics/issues
for your PSA and post in the Brainstorm PSA
Topics blog.
Wednesday, 5/22
1. Respond to at least two classmates’ Brainstorm
PSA Topics blog posts.
2. Read the Web Articles.
3. Pick which topic you are going to use and create a
draft of your PSA poster or billboard using the
concepts from the web articles.
Thursday, 5/23
1. Write a script explaining the design principles you
applied to create your draft PSA design.
2. Record a draft of your screencast and post the
URL to the Peer Review: Screencast blog.
Friday, 5/24
1. Respond to peer’s draft screencast in Peer
Review: Screencast blog.
2. Revise your PSA design based on feedback.
3. Re-record your screencast based on feedback and
your revised PSA.
Sunday, 5/26
1. Submit Project 2 (PSA file and Screencast URL) to
Project 2 Submissions Box.
